We bought this for home and to take with us camping. We set it up at our home first and it was really easy to set up. However, we are still trying to figure out the buttons and how it works. When we first put it together and turned on it powered on and started blowing cold air out which was really nice. The only thing is that we are not sure how to set the temperature on it. It kind of just does everything itself right now. The amount of air it blows out does seem to help with keeping our living room really cool especially if we close our doors to all rooms on really hot days. The noise level is semi quiet. It has wheels on the bottom of it made it easy to move to our living room. We have yet to take it camping but for now we are happy with our purchase.

No need drainage? This thing fills with water and needs to be drained 3-4 times a day. I’ve bought several portable AC units over the years and have never experienced anything like this before. It does cool the room nicely but the water issue is a huge pain. The remote that comes with it is awful too. You basically have to be close up right in front of the unit for it to work and it is so small/flat I’m just waiting for it to get lost. It’s also anything but quiet. Maybe I just got a dud? Adding to my review: sent back the first one and got a replacement (same unit). It still fills quickly but not as bad. Needs to be emptied once a week. New issue is that the temperature control is completely locked up (stuck at 59) and the AC refuses to continuously run. It pops on for about 10 minutes and then stops blowing for about 20 minutes, then pops on again. So frustrating. I basically use it as a glorified fan because at least it runs uninterrupted in fan mode. Going to really suck when outside temps hit 100. Waste of money!

I’m giving this 4 stars & not 5 only because its not user friendly. It was frustrating figuring it out bcuz there was no instructions on how it works. Once I figured out how to work the settings it works very well. It’s able to cool 2 average size rooms at the same time. It’s in my bedroom & it cools all through my living room. I recommend it.

Had this for a few weeks now. Very happy. Totally satisfied. Cools nicely in my kitchen/dining/living rooms. Pulls moisture like a champ. Didn’t work out running the drainage hose to anything but a BUCKET (very humid in mid-Atlantic), emptying daily—it’s a bit loud as well. Don’t give recommendations easily.

Doesn't cool if this unit is 14000 but I am Santa Claus I can cool my small place with 8000, but window unit but I am old and cant lift it so I decided to try portable what I bid mistake and I cant return because I don't have a box

It's a nice AC unit and cools well. It could be quieter but it's normal enough. It's about 3 feet from my TV and 4" from me. I have to turn the volume from 20 up to 27. Mine's branded as a Garvee CF14. Walmart has it unbranded for $378.99. Garvee has it for $424.99 and the Acekool store on Amazon has the same one for $399.99. This one's a great price but if you can pay more try to get one with a noise level under 40db.

I’m not happy. Hoping it’ll work out but for now, extremely disappointed. I bought this ac about 1 month before I needed it as the weather wasn’t too bad at the time. Once I used it, it did what it was supposed to but only for 1 night. Now I’m getting an error message of “LC”. The manual doesn’t say anything about “LC”. I went online for help and nothing clear. “LC” isn’t even a code I could find. I tried emptying it but it won’t empty at all. I don’t know if it’s because there isn’t enough water to empty but that’s not how water works. If there was any water, when I remove the plug, it should flow out. I sent an email to manufacturer support for help. We’ll see. This “LC” error prevents me from doing anything to the controls. I can’t even turn it off. I have to unplug it. Even the remote control won’t change anything. It seems to be stuck in fan mode. Which, granted, is currently cooling my room, but that’s not why I bought it.
