I have only had this for a short while, but so far so good. Setup is easy. Airflow is good and seems to have the claimed cooling power vs other 12k BTU units I have had. All the necessary features are there, including a turbo mode for maximum cooling. Not too heavy, casters roll nicely. Control is straightforward. It's pretty quiet at lower speeds, and on turbo it is not unreasonably loud. I prefer this two hose system over others, including a brand that has a hose inside another house. The separation of the holes on the window plate is enough to minimize hot exhaust being sucked right back in. The required plate (with the two hose holes) is about 20" long. All the pieces combined this can be stretched out to about 57", which is not enough for a sliding glass door setup. You would likely need two more plates for that (or just cut a piece of cardboard or whatever). I am not a huge fan of the two condensate drains, and the manual is a bit convoluted about when you should use which. There is an included condensate hose that is something like 5-6' long, which you can cut if you want to dump directly from the "middle" drain to a 1-gallon, etc., container (not included). You are expected to sometimes drain from the "lower" drain, which requires a drain pan that is also not included. I will update after I have more hours on it.

Did a lot of research before picking this product. 5 stars because it out performs our motorhome 13,000 btu's. Everything you will need is in the box, which includes the intake and outtake vent tubes. The vent tube are long enough and strong stretch. It's not cheap. The remote still figuring it out. This unit is very quiet! It also goes as low as 61 degrees, another factor in buying. It's been a life saver for us in 107 degrees in our motorhome. It is easy to move, and will keep it interesting box with the Styrofoam for future travels. Absolutely work the money!!!

It did cool my smaller bedroom well, but a bad smell came out of it after a couple months. It may be that you have to empty water out of it. I had never seen or had one that had to be emptied and it was between my bed and the wall so it would have been a lot of trouble to move it and empty it. I only had a 20" space between bed and wall so I set it at an angle and it was enough space to do a good job. I haven't taken it down yet although the weather is much cooler now, so haven't had a chance to investigate the cause of the smell.

Did a lot of searching and researching. Landed on the 14,000 BTU of this unit. Bought it for my music room. Had it one week and ordered a 2nd one identical for my my storage/work shed. Couldn't be happier. No matter what brand or size portable A/C you purchase, for the sake of efficiency be very mindful to follow instructions regarding the exhaust vent hose position. This cools my whole 23 foot travel trailer. It blows very cold and hard. It is a little loud but nothing that bothers my family. The fan also works really well too. Very easy to set up.

This thing was a lifesaver this summer. I have to admit I was a little skeptical of its cooling ability, but after just a couple hours, I was not a skeptic any longer. Filters are very easy to clean is quieter than I would have suspected as well. Took a total of approximately 15 minutes to install anybody can do it.. rolls very easily if you need to relocate

I believe it's really just an 8000 BTU unit. It's labeled both 12,000 and 8000 BTU. It uses different standards for the higher rating. However it will not adequately cool a 12x12 room. The 12000 BTU is some sort of rating that is higher than what you would normally expect. I had it running all day and it did manage to lower the temperature someehat but it certainly wasn't cool. Installation is easy but I don't feel this $345 worth of air conditioning. You can buy an 8000 BTU unit for much less money
