I switched an 8,000 btu portable ac to this, it’s 85 degrees outside and this gets room temp to 75 degrees.. 75 degrees is better than 85. Very comfortable for a hot day. This item arrived neatly enclosed in a large box that included the AC unit itself, the exhaust hose with connectors, a drain tube, a window panel kit, a remote, and a user manual. I was immediately very happy to note that the hose parts were already preconnected, since getting them twisted on correctly is always such a pain in the neck. From the time it took to open the box and unpack the item until it was fully installed was maybe 30 minutes. The window panel kit is sufficiently modifiable that you can use it with small or larger windows, and it easily fit into the crevice of my window frame. I would note, though, that screwing the frame into place was difficult because it required drilling directly into the metal of the frame (hopefully, I did that right), but it's doable. Since I was installing this AC in my house, where our central AC was waiting for repairs, I was in a giant hurry to get this installed as quickly as possible so the southern summer didn’t kill me. As such, I used duck tape to hold the window panel in place until the ac was running and my room was nice and cool. I then went back and placed the screws. The cheater install method worked out well and minimized the amount of sweatiness required for installation. After the window and AC had been connected by the air duct, I turned this unit on, and it immediately began to blow wonderfully cold air. It is fairly quiet, and just sounds like a low fan noise, even on the highest setting. I then went to find batteries for the remote (2 AAA batteries are required), and despite swapping out the first set with a different brand of batteries, I was dismayed to find that the remote was broken. It will light up, but it shows none of the display. Unfortunately, on an item this expensive you often can’t just ship it back to replace the remote, especially if you're like me and you tore apart the box trying to get the unit out without tipping it over. Given the huge inconvenience of a broken remote and the relative difficulty of receiving a replacement, my rating is reduced by one star. Overall, I have so far found this AC unit to be fantastic, and if not for the broken remote, it would have merited a five-star rating. I have enjoyed using it so far, and I look forward to continuing to do so in the future.

It easily cooled a single wide trailer. As standard with air conditioning units can be set as low as 61°F and the app allows timed control. I can hear it kick on but don't notice it as much while it is running. Setup is standard, if you are used to portable air conditioners then it'll be easy. All in all a great purchase and would buy again.

Living in Florida, air conditioners don't get a free pass in this house. If an AC unit can't keep up when it's 95°F outside with humidity you can practically swim through, it doesn't stick around long. This portable unit has impressed me so far. It cools quickly and had no trouble bringing the temperature down in a large room. Once it gets the room where you want it, it does a good job maintaining that temperature without constantly feeling like it's struggling. The setup was surprisingly straightforward. The window kit went together easily, and I had everything installed and running much faster than I expected. No cutting, drilling, or complicated instructions required. The smart features are actually useful rather than gimmicky. Being able to turn the unit on before walking into a hot room is fantastic, especially during the summer. The app connected without any drama, and remote control has been convenient. Noise levels are reasonable for a portable AC. Let's be realistic—it's still an air conditioner with a compressor, so it isn't silent. However, it is much quieter than some portable units I've owned, and sleeping with it running hasn't been an issue. The self-evaporating system is another feature I appreciate. Nobody wants to constantly empty water trays during the hottest part of the year. So far, maintenance has been minimal. The dehumidifier function is also a huge plus in Florida. Sometimes reducing the humidity alone makes a room feel dramatically more comfortable. I also like that it rolls easily between rooms. The wheels move smoothly, and the built-in handles make repositioning simple. If I had one complaint, it's the same complaint I have with every portable AC: you still have the exhaust hose taking up space near the window. That's just the nature of portable units and not unique to this model. Overall, this has been a strong performer. It cools effectively, the smart controls work well, installation is simple, and it handles Florida heat far better than many portable units I've tested. If you're looking for a portable AC for a large room, this one is definitely worth considering

I ordered this because I have been taking care of my grandmother for the last few years as her live in caretaker and the swamp cooler in her office finally quit working and since that room faces the sun it gets straight up miserable in there and almost unbearable even with fans going. I was super excited to get this hooked up for her because it is meant for a larger room and it turns out it was packaged properly with really nice styrofoam protection plus the manual hose and window adapter so we did not have to go buy anything extra just to finish the install. Directions were surprisingly easy to follow and we found a perfect spot for it near a wall with a nearby window and once we got everything set up and turned it on we were honestly pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was because it almost sounded like no air was blowing even though it absolutely was and it was really cold. We messed with the settings a bit and got it working hard to cool the room and the controls are super simple with a nice clear temperature display which my grandma appreciated. The only thing we noticed is once it is programmed to go below a certain temp another fan kicks on and that one is definitely louder than the first but nothing crazy and not nearly as bad as I was assuming. The app connected pretty quickly too although she is older and will definitely just stick with the remote which works perfectly fine anyway. One thing to know beforehand is this package is VERY heavy so be careful moving it especially if you have stairs because hauling it up a flight like we did was no joke. As far as overall first impressions go I am very pleased and for the $ this seems like a really high quality unit and absolutely would recommend it if you need to cool a hot room fast.

Living in Florida, portable air conditioners have to work pretty hard to impress me, and this one has done a solid job so far. I set it up in a large room that tends to get warm in the afternoons, and it brought the temperature down noticeably faster than I expected from a portable unit. Setup was straightforward. The window kit went together without much frustration, and I had it up and running in less than an hour. Once operating, the cooling output felt strong and consistent. Even during hotter parts of the day, it was able to keep the room comfortable without running nonstop. One of the biggest surprises was the noise level. Portable AC units are not usually known for being quiet, but this model is much less intrusive than several I've owned in the past. You can still hear it running, of course, but it fades into the background easily while watching TV, working, or sleeping. The smart features were also a nice bonus. Connecting it to the app was fairly painless, and being able to adjust settings from my phone is convenient when I'm in another room. Voice control worked as expected once linked to my smart home setup. The dehumidifier function is especially useful in humid climates. I noticed the room felt less sticky and more comfortable even before the temperature had fully dropped. The self-evaporating design is another welcome feature since nobody enjoys constantly emptying water trays. Build quality feels solid, and the controls are easy to understand. The unit is large, as expected for a 14,000 BTU model, but the wheels make it easy enough to reposition when needed. Overall, this has been an effective portable AC that combines strong cooling performance, useful smart features, and quieter operation than many competing units. If you need supplemental cooling for a larger room, home office, garage, or bedroom, this one is definitely worth considering.

This AC has been a powerhouse for keeping my space cool. Installation was straightforward overall, but I did recruit my husband to help with the setup since the window bracket requires drilling into the metal insert. I wanted everything secured as tightly as possible, and he was better equipped to handle that part. The included window kit is well designed and accommodates a range of window sizes. Our window is approximately 30 inches wide, and the adjustable panels fit nicely. I also appreciated that it comes with sealing tape for the gaps and corners, which helps create a more airtight installation so you're not wasting energy cooling the outdoors. Performance has been excellent. My bedroom and bathroom are connected, creating a fairly large area to cool, and Florida heat is no joke. I like being able to give my central AC a break during the day by raising the thermostat and using this unit to keep my bedroom comfortable. It does an impressive job cooling the space quickly and maintaining a comfortable temperature. It's rather quite so the noise doesn't bother me while sleeping. The remote control is another feature I use constantly. Being able to adjust settings while lying in bed without getting up is incredibly convenient.
