We bought this steamer a few days ago. Capacity is quite large and it has also been fast at booting up and steaming - it probably takes about 30-40 seconds to start. We have used the 3-tier trays to cook a few different foods and so far, vegetables, fish and dumplings all came out tasty. You will need to adjust a bit in terms of timing to figure out how long is enough. We have also tried the delay timer and it has been working as advertised. This steamer is great!! It is very easy to use and vegetables come out great (and healthy). Broccoli and cauliflower came out awesome!! Next I'm going to try clams and crab legs. Unit is super easy to clean. As you can see in my photos, the trays break down in 3 sections. Either hand wash them or put them in the dishwasher. Definitely would buy again!! ... show more

This steamer didn’t disappoint. It does what it was designed to do very efficiently. I’ve used a similar steamer for years and this one is comparable. I especially like the graduated sizes of the three tiers. My first try was to cook rice in the first tier, broccoli, onion, mushroom, and pepper melody in the second tier since the pieces were bulky, and salmon filets in the top tier. Over the years, I’ve discovered that rice does best for me when I cook it on the bottom tier since it is a denser food concentration. Each tier provides a generous amount of space for cooking a large quantity of food, but typically, I cook veggies on the top layer, unless I need a larger tier space. ... show more

I'm a lazy person who enjoys cooking in large batches to have meals for the next few days. So I've been searching for a cooker with a large capacity that can also fit into my studio apartment, but it hasn't been easy.
