Overall this is an easy-to-use scope with clear optics. It comes with a tiny tripod. The tripod is nothing to write home about, but of utility if you don't already have one. You will get more stability with a larger tripod. That said, I am not taking any points off the rating for the tripod. The main item in this is the scope itself. You will have it out of the box and will be using it in no time. The magnification power is pretty good for terrestrial viewing. But you can also get a pretty good view of the moon through it, too. It comes with a phone adapter. That's a nice to have. If you have a phone with multiple camera lenses, you may have to use a third-party app to lock down which lens the phone is using. ... show more
