Installation was straightforward although I did have to fabricate a duct extension because my RV roof was thicker than what if could accommodate. Some 1/8" sheet plastic, a heat gun and super glue later and all set. We boondock a bunch so this is great option versus running our Coleman machine units. Work very well - but has it's limits! We went to Arizona where it reached 98°, got my popup down to 85. In California when it was 87 it cooled my rig down to 72 in about 45 minutes! I used a power supply from Amazon to power this unit since we had hookup's but eventually it will be hooked up to my solar system. The installation process is fairly clear but in my case I wanted to send my wires back down thru the opening and inside my rig so this meant I needed to take off the cover and re-route the wires as shown in my pictures. What is not mentioned in the instructions is to remove the cover to place the locking nut on the stud of the leveling feet (I did not have the nut on in the picture) minor issue - took me a few minute to figure what were these two nuts for! ... show more

Installed this on transit van. It worked for an hour then the fan completely stopped working. There is no error code showing and there is no troubleshooting guide in the (very limited) documentation. Have reached out to seller and am waiting to hear back. We’ll see, but, for now, one star for a defective product. Will update review when appropriate. ... show more

so far the unit is working OK, had to make some modifications to the standard 14 x 14 roof penetration. the motor for the oscillating vent fell apart, (could not repair). would be nice if there was a vent extension for a thicker roof. had to modify the hold down bar to allow the inside grill to be installed, to hold the inside grill in place i used a combination of Coupling Nuts. wood screw to Bolt Stud, and a machine screw. over all i am happy with the operation, has a amp draw of 40 on high and 25 on low. I was not happy when the price dropped 170 dollars after my purchase. ... show more

So far so good. This was the smallest AC for my off grid camper that’s only 5x10, a bit of overkill but it obviously cools the inside perfectly. It is super quiet and installation was simple with one person. The power cord could be longer, maybe 5 feet longer. Overall a good buy as no malfunction develops. ... show more

I installed this unit in my RV, instep to connect to a battery I use a power supply and work great so far, 1500w, 125 to 12v it will supply power continuously, if you want to add another AC unit for your camper this unit can do off the grit or connected to it, great product so far
