The weight, size and power capacity of these DC House Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries astound me. At 3 pounds, 2 ounces and measuring only 5 7/8 inch long by 3 7/8 inch in both width and height these batteries contain a lot of power! Maximum draw is 12 Amps, so both the instructions and Amps prevent use in high draw applications such as engine starting. In testing, I mainly wanted a rough indication of capacity and a "shutdown" test of the battery protection circuitry, along with recharge to confirm no damage from running down. The new battery arrived with 13.1 volts and topped off at 13.4 volts after allowing a rest to cool to ambient temperature. Using a 400 watt inverter at 300 watts and continuous rating of 2.6 Amps I powered an old 100 watt incandescent bulb for 1 hour 22 minutes before the inverter shut down to preserve the battery "cranking" capacity at 11.1 volts. Keep in mind the energy losses inherent in converting from 12 volt DC nominal to 115 volt AC. Inverters heat up enough performing their "magic" to need a cooling fan. I then abused the battery by connecting a tractor LED you can't look at until the battery shut down. Using a 4 Amp (only double a maintenance charger) charger specific to a LiFePO4 the recharge took 4 hours 38 minutes and topped off at 13.5 volts! This battery can charge with a normal charger up to a maximum current of 12 Amps. I could barely detect a little warmth. For any application up to 12 Amps in or out this battery has to be recommended.

Full disclosure, I originally ordered this to use in an APC BackUPS unit, but I misread the model number. Instead of returning it, I figured I could put it to good use with some other projects. I ended up using it to power some 12V LED light strips while I'm out at a campsite. It charges fine with my LiFePO4 charger. Pros The spec'd 6A BMS should have a max discharge of 6A continuously (~76.8Wh of energy). Weighs 1.65 lbs. Cons None so far. Overall, works great to power some LED lights for a very long time while out camping. It will come in handy during a power outage.

The media could not be loaded. I used this battery for powering my off grid solar light in the shed. It works great. I did a capacity test and their rated capacity is accurate. I got a little bit above 12ah from my testes. I chaged and discharged at around 10a and I found no issue. Overall, it passes all of my simple battery tests. I am happy with it so far.

Its hard to say a whole lot about these batteries. They are pretty basic, but I think that is the plus side to them, you don't have to put much thought into it. Just unplug the old and plug in the new. This is a direct lead acid replacement and should last quite a bit longer than the one it is replacing, I hope. It weighs nothing in comparison and was a snap to install. Recommended if you need this form factor!

This is a really good deal for a 12 Ah battery at this price. It is way lighter than a lead acid battery of the same size so it is easier to handle and move around as needed. With those lead acid batteries I am always afraid one will slide out of my hands due to the weight and smooth sides. This has enough power to run my small chicken egg incubator 24/7. The device uses only 30 Watts when heating but that is only occasional so this battery can handle the draw easily. With a small solar panel and charge controller this can run for the entire season. With 12 Ah this could run the heater and everything full blast for 5-6 hours non stop even without solar. After the incubating season this will likely to into my shed to power lights and other small loads the rest of the year.

I picked this up for my battery backup for my computer, I have been having to replace those expensive APC lead acid batteries every two years and I finally had enough of that. Now you can't just plug this into a device meant for a 12v lead acid battery our you can damage the battery or even start a fire. For my setup I followed a guide online on how to disable the charge circuit on the battery backup and use a Lithium charger I also reviewed to keep the lithium battery topped off. I repeat DO NOT try to use this battery to replace an older 12v device if that device also chargers it, you got to use a charger meant for a lithium battery. While this battery is the same capacity as my the lead acid battery in my battery backup it actually lasted longer because lithium cells maintain a steady voltage right up to their cut off point whereas lead acid the voltage drops as its being used up. The only side effect of this, and its specific to my use is that my battery backup can no longer tell when the cell is getting low and start beeping more rapidly because the voltage never drops until it goes to 0 and the unit turns off. Overall I am very pleased with this battery especially given it costs half what a new 12v lead acid APC battery costs and this should last way longer than the lead acid battery.
