The battery was received quickly and was well packaged. However, the primary reason I purchased this particular LIfeP04 battery was for the "Low-Temp Protection." Unfortunately, no where on the battery or the instruction manual is there any reference to "Low-Temp Protection." The absense of any mention of "Low-Temp Protection" on the product or in the manual causes we to wonder if the battery really does have Low-Temp Protection. ... show more

We have a gate alarm that is connected to a solar panel. My husband connected the solar panel to the this battery for back up. He said it was easy to hook up and set the battery under the solar panel for protection from the weather. We like the gate alarm when we are traveling so we can check the camera to see if someone has opened the gate. The battery is sealed tight protecting it from weather. I picked up this LiFePO4 battery to power a Yeasu FT-8800 dual-band transceiver as part of my Amateur Radio Emergency Services volunteer work where we need to run powerful radios in grid-down situations. This battery puts out 12.8V which is needed for the radio and the 12Ah gives me a eight hour's worth of transmitting and receiving. Being a lithium battery, I can drain it down farther than "old school" lead-acid batteries and it weighs significantly less, too. Keep in mind, you need a charger specifically designed for lithium batteries as chargers for lead-acid will damage it. This is a great battery for powering assorted electronics in a grid-down situation. ... show more
