Great festive lights! Easy to apply. I put them on my tree (in the winter, no leaves) in my back yard and it is really nice. However, only 10 out of the 12 worked. Make sure that there is no foliage around the top of the bulb to get the sunlight they need to recharge. At first I placed them on an evergreen bush, but there was not enough light for them to recharge. So I decided to move them to my bare lilac tree in the back and they worked all but 2. It is disappointing that they just do not make things like they used to, and shopping online makes it more of a 'pain' to exchange items.

They last till they don't. I would say 2-3 years. Solar panel fogs over in a year. All Chinese panels fog over. Other than that they look good. I've ordered at least 25

I have purchased several sets of these lights from this manufacture. I love the way that they change color, and they have always been very good for me. I have had a couple failures, but really, not many, for as many years as I have my first two sets. I recently ordered two new boxes to put in another tree, for the season. We had a bit of a windstorm, and two of these lights slipped out of their silver sleeves. I have never had that issue with my older sets of these, so I’m not sure if this is a new problem that they are experiencing, or if I am just unlucky. But, I’m a little disappointed. I also have had them come off of the clip that attaches into the silver sleeve. I have already lost one of those clips, but it’s probably still up in the tree somewhere. Good luck trying to find that. So, overall, I really love these lights, but there seems to be a possible manufacturing issue? I’m not really sure. I never leave these up during the winter; I always bring them in and store them inside in their original boxes. I hope that the newer ones don’t fail before the older ones do. But, that would show me that there is a manufacturing issue. Even with the problems, I would probably purchase these again. I just hope that they fix the issues.
