This unit works and is easy to install. But it is bare bones quality. It was about 60% of the weight of the unit it replaced, and everything feels bendy & flimsy. Especially the mount bracket for the indoor unit. I needed a slightly longer lineset, so I ordered that separately. There was a dramatic difference in quality between the lineset I ordered and the one that came with the unit. The one I ordered separately was much nicer. Zero stars was not available. Item will be missing parts that they know about and don’t disclose before the purchase. Came without the cover for refrigerant connections , the protective grills for the side and rear. Even though its connections are there and clearly designed for it. As well as a bent frame. The missing protective grill on the rear has already caused the cooling fins to be mashed in. It does work though. I would never buy again from Garvee. See their response when I requested the missing pieces. They acknowledged the parts aren’t there from the factory and won’t be sending them. ... show more

So far, so good. I installed this yesterday and it works fine. It is very no-frills in its feature set, but it heats and cools (although I think the thermostat is about 5 degrees higher than actual temperature. My one serious concern is that it was shipped with an electrical tail that is way undersized. Based on the specs, this unit should be run on a 25amp 115v circuit. The included tail was 14awg wire and it needs 10awg for safe operation. DO NOT use the included tail. It would be better not to include that than to send it under sized. This creates a potential hazard. ... show more
