Works great! I have used both cooling and heating and this unit climatizes my shop super fast. The only issue is the temperature is cooler than it says. If set to 70 the shop is actually about 65. Very quiet and pulls less current than the window unit it replaced. Installation was super easy. I am very happy with the performance so far. I live in south Louisiana, we can have extreme fluctuations in temperature here ranging from 30 degrees in the morning and 70 degrees by lunch. This unit has done a fabulous job keeping the shop comfortable in both heating and cooling.

Im retierd hvac tech an have alot exp with hvac systems. This little split system suprised the hell out of me. It literally out performed my central A/C . Chills the house very very well. It is quite smooth runs great. Dont be scared because its not a big brand name. Intsall it correctly vacum it down 30" down make sure it holds. Release freon fire it up and start chilling. Ill update after little time passes with load results etc. Definitely recommend. Going to by a second one. Line set cover isnt in the picture. But its on now looks great. 5 stars for now.

I have to give a five-star review for this product and the seller. Actually it arrived a few days late and was damaged. Now that's the shipping companies fault not the seller. But when I contacted them about the problem they had a new unit coming to me the next day. When I first opened the box I thought OMG I'm going to have a bunch of trouble trying to resolve this problem. And possibly be out several hundred dollars. Everything turned out great a few days later I had a new unit I installed it last weekend and I am very impressed at how well it's cooling my small house. I also tested the heating function and it worked great too. I was able to install the whole unit by myself connected to the power grid and hook up the coolant lines and test them with the cheap set of gauges and vacuum pump.

I did a lot of research on Mini Splits before making this purchase and let me tell you a dirty secret. Almost all mini splits are practically the same. Companies order them as OEM units and rebrand them under their company name. So why pay extra for a rebrand. The biggest thing you are paying for is - customer service. That is where Mountman shines. They were able to help me fix my problem very quickly. You can tell the care about their customers. Since you are not paying for a rebrand this is going to be a great value. Dont let some of the negative reviews scare you away about arriving with dents. Thats the shipping people banging up the packages, not Mountman's fault. I am using the 18000 model to keep my mango growing greenhouse warm, and it works great. With a little electrical knowledge and a vacuum pump you can install this yourself in one day. I've already recommended this unit to my friend.

I bought this to cool/heat the front section of my home (two bedrooms and a hallway, a total of about 380 sf). My first mistake was finding it had to go in one bedroom and not in a central area (hallway between the two rooms) because it had to be placed on an exterior wall. This meant an imbalance in cooling heating the full desired area. The room its in cools sufficiently, but a box fan is required to push the cool air into the rest of the area affected. In the winter time, it only heats in turbo mode, getting the room toasty warm, but the rest of the area is 68 degrees. Furthermore, it ONLY heats in Turbo mode (88 degrees). If the temp is set even as high as 87 degrees, the entire space (including the room its in) returns to being unbearably cold. I know now this unit is fine for only ONE ROOM, but it is not meeting the needs when it won't warm even that small area (132 sf) without being in Turbo mode.
