Living in MN, we can comfortably relax outdoors from May - Oct, give or take, which is also Mosquito Season. Winters deliver about 48" of snow, occasionally 12" at a time. Given that, we wanted to use our yard with the option of privacy, a little protection from the insects, in something that could handle snow. So we looked at hundreds of gazebos online and a few more at local retailers. In settling on this one, we were attracted by the curved steel roof, both for snow removal and the distinctive look of it. The dual track privacy/bug nets are common among gazebos but a must for us. And we wanted a kit we could build ourselves. Before it arrived, we hired a contractor to erect a platform, and that was critical, as it turned out, because the tight construction allowed virtually no room for error. The surface had to be dead level so the uprights were plumb allowing the roof panels to slide in snugly. Plus, the pre-drilled holes would not accept the steel bolts unless the pieces fit together perfectly. I would say it all went per the plan. It looks great and offers enough room for 4 chairs and a fire table. A couple of caveats. The instructions are adequate but could definitely use a video in which someone assembles it step-by-step. (I wish I had made such a video but did not.) In addition, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to construct the roof alone. You do not need 4 people, but with 4, this could be done in a weekend. Took me about 40 hours, with help from others here and there. The instructions do not mention grounding the gazebo, so we added that. Finally, we added weight to the uprights with pea gravel for greater stability. If you do this, do it before you add the roof. All in, it's a lovely addition to our yard. Time will tell if it holds up to the harsh weather, but so far, it truly exceeds our expectations. March 23, 2023 Status Update After a hard, snowy MN winter, spring is in the air, and our gazebo has survived. Perhaps, it has even thrived. We opted to shut it down in early November. Even with the sides zipped in place, the gazebo has no ability to retain heat. With temperatures dipping down below freezing and then below zero (F), and the snow piling on and around it, we did not use it at all after Halloween. The good news is it held up to the great weight of heavy snowfalls and arctic windstorms just fine. Now, we're looking forward to daily use again in a few more weeks, certainly by May 1, give or take. It still looks like new after 5 months in the freezer! ... show more

Words cannot express how happy I am with my new gazebo. This gazebo is made of sturdy materials, made to last. I had my neighbor install it only took him 2 days with one other person helping him. I highly recommend this gazebo as it is a fabulous product made of durable materials and so beautiful.

This is very sturdy and now with our first heavy wind the day after we finished building it I can say that the windows don't move this at all. The problem you have is the instructions for installing the roof sheet metal panels. when installing the lower section center panels that are two pieces, you have to install them together at the same time. You will also want to have someone with you to help install the upper center top or it will bend on you until you get all the supports in place. As others have said this does take at least two people. Now if you live in a windy area like we do, these curtains have no weight what so ever at the bottom and will blow like crazy no matter if you have them closed or opened, of course unless you have them fully open and secured to the post. We are working on a solution for this as we get allot of wind through here especially in the winter when we will be having our propane heater fired up to keep it warm inside of it. You will find people talking about putting a rod at the bottom through the seem but these curtains only have maybe an 1/8 in seem so that is out. Magnetic weights cost you around $25.00 for a pair and those only weight 1lb each so you are looking at least 32 weighs and not only would that cost $800.00 but in heavier winds will they actually hold 12 lbs on the long sides I just don't think they will keep them from blowing. As I said I will post an update once we hopefully find a solution to this. Other then that I will say we actually do love this gazebo, but a few things could be better such as a weight to better secure the curtains when they are closed. ... show more

This gazebo is fantastic. Well worth the money keeps flies out to sit in there comfortably all your furniture is protected. Most of it is real simple. the directions are pretty good but on the roof putting in the panels do not tighten until you have all the panels up it’ll fit, if you tighten it early it expense the panels and they won’t lineup on the halls. The last panel is a little tight but works all the parts were there great shade. I put it together with the tools they gave me it’s like putting together a puzzle. We found this gazebo very hard to put together. The directions are mainly photos, which are not clear which side to use. the plastic couplers do not stay on, they keep popping off. The gazebo only comes with one set of curtain hooks so you must choose between the mosquito or the curtains, or purchased additional hooks. The Clips are cheap and the gazebo was expensive. There are two rows for the hooks. There are mosquito netting and curtains yet you can only hang one for the price. The video makes it seem like one person can do this they cannot. we had 2 to 6. It took several days. We are very mechanical family and found this to be difficult to do. the mosquito netting in the top doesn’t fit correctly so there are large gaps so I don’t see how it keeps any mosquitoes out. The gazebo was shipped in six boxes. We had three boxes show up about three days after purchase two more two days later and one that took a full week yet never showed it had been shipped by the seller. We also had to pay an additional $200 to have it shipped. If we had bought it from the manufacture directly, they were offering free shipping and the discount. ... show more
