The price is great and the lights look amazing! I hope they last a while. I only needed 3 so I have backups. The bulbs are plastic not glass which is good for me, I prefer the plastic because it won’t shatter if you drop it.

    • Love the spiral filament

I am loving these new bulbs with the spiral filament. They look very appealing and help to prevent shadows that plague straight filament designs. These are a very good value. That said, there are a few things that could be better. The first is that they are smaller than other bulbs of this design. If you are looking to match some, it may not be an issue. They also don't appear as bright as other 60 watt equivalent bulbs that I have. The final could either be a con or a pro - the housing is plastic. It's remarkably clear and difficult to tell it's not glass. Of course, it won't shatter, but if used outdoors, I've found that plastic can degrade due to sun exposure. I use them inside so that's not an issue for me. Overall, I'm very happy with these for my application. ... show more

I have a very old house so a lot of our light fixtures look like the turn of the century to match the age of the house and as such Edison bulbs are usually our bulbs of choice. We also have dimmers on all the lights and prefer LED bulbs so with all those restrictions, there's not a lot of really good bulbs out there. I've gone through a bunch that either look weird inside, only shine sideways because they have vertical filaments, or just don't last that long. I saw these spiral filament bulbs and was pretty excited to try something different that also looked cool when they were turned off. So far they're working well and I haven't had any burn out after a couple months. The light diffuses evenly and the wattage is comparable to other LEDs of this brightness. Assuming they don't start burning out quickly, I'd call this a win. ... show more

These bulbs are clear, but the filament has a yellowish orange color whether on or off. It really calls attention to the eye if the fixture is transparent. I ordered these because I was looking for bulbs to install in 2 pendants we have over our kitchen island. The pendants are clear glass so you are able to see whatever bulb is inside. I thought these would work because they are also clear, but the light filament emits too yellow of a light that it changes the entire look of the pendant - this didn’t work for me. I also didn’t like such a warm yellow tone for over the island. In my pictures, one pendant has this bulb, and the other has a white opaque bulb just to show the comparison. As for the function of these bulbs, they work perfectly fine, look vintage, and emit plenty of warm light, but you need to have the right application to suit the look you are going for. These bulbs are E26 base, but are interchangeable with G26 and T10 from my experience. It's amazing how far LED bulbs have come. Remodeling a home currently and while swapping light fixtures and bulbs it was interesting to see the "first-generation" LEDs that were HUGE, heavy, and awkward with their finned cooling solutions. In addition to the physical awkwardness, the old bulbs were usually only available in a color temperature that was simply not pleasing. Flash forward and we have products like this available. These bulbs are stylish and compared to their ancestors, are perfect for installing in fixtures where the bulbs are exposed. These mimic the old Edison bulbs not only in looks but with a varying selection of color temperatures so you can get back down into the more pleasing yellows for a more "natural" atmosphere with less blue light. In addition to producing an excellent quality of light, these are manufactured with plastic housings making them much less fragile and easier to handle. I've noticed no perceivable difference in the light quality with these vs. competitors with glass housings and I don't have to worry quite so much about breakage with shipping, storage, or while swapping them out. These are dimmable, and I will note there is a small, almost unnoticeable hesitation when you turn them on. Not a big deal, in my opinion, especially given all the other positives these have to offer. While it is early in their lifespan, we are very happy with these thus far. ... show more

I love the Edison bulb look, so when I saw this pack I knew I had to give it a try. The bulbs are plastic, which makes them very lightweight and durable. They put off a nice warm light and are sufficiently bright. I have not had them in long enough to know how long they last, but given they are LED I would suspect they will last quite awhile. If not, they come in a 12 pack, I will have extras to be able to replace bulbs as needed. So far very happy with these and how great they look in my dining room light fixture. ... show more
