Wherever you might need two burners such as a RV, boat, studio or as additional burners in your kitchen this unit is a great option. I like that there are two burner sizes with the top radiating either 800 or +1000 W for larger sized pots while the lower burner is a max 800 W. There is a button to toggle between 800 and 1000W for the upper burner but if you are utilizing the full 1800 W then the bottom burner is temporarily disabled so as to not overload the unit. But if you are using just 800W OR 100W for the upper then the lower burner is operable. The burners heat up really fast. Within the first minute of operating it was too hot to touch and was heating up the pans. I also like that there is a light indicator after turning the burners off that flashes next to the temp control when the burner is still hot. It will stop flashing and completely turn off once the unit is safe to touch again. I do also appreciate that this unit can be used as a counter top device OR can be set into an appropriate counter material. For myself the flexibility of moving it around anywhere there is 110/120V outlet is useful. Operation is simple with the on/off button plus temperature dials and the mentioned wattage selection button for the upper burner. The top is anti scratch and cleans up easily. The mirror surface looks fantastic. This is not an induction set of burners which is actually my preference. This cooktop has zero electromagnetic radiation. Otherwise any flat bottom pan will work regardless of composition. I found this to be a great price for a really high performance set of burners. ... show more
