UPDATE: It took a while, but the vendor honored the warranty and I received a replacement in a bout 2 weeks. So I upgraded my rating to 4.5 (5 because the saw works great, - 0.5 due to the time lag in getting it replaced and the multiple messages to press the safety interlock to get it to work! )The vendor was very good to work with. ORIGINAL Review: I would have given this saw a 5 but... The saw works very well and the batteries last through quite a bit of cutting. I had an oak tree growing where I did not want and took it down in stages. Most of the top branches required a ladder tied to the tree. They were anywhere from 3 to 5 inch diameter near the trunk f the tree. I was able to take down four main branches and cut them up into 16" logs ranging from 5" to 1" in diameter and made quite a pile. The saw never ran hot and cut quickly. It gets a little jumpy if you don't hold it against the log that you're cutting. You need to butt the saw right up against the log and it will cut very quickly. Here's the but... The warranty claim is in question. I put it away for 3 months, then was doing some pruning of an apple tree. That worked great. The next day, I put the freshly charged batteries in and the little meter on the saw showed 100% but the motor didn't start. I tried the other battery and it still didn't start. I contacted the seller and explained and asked how I could get it fixed or replaced under warranty like the product page says "hassle free replacement. " The seller wrote back saying to press the safety button and the trigger to get the motor to run. Well, I've used this saw several times successfully and I know how to operate it. So I wrote back and said I pressed buttons "1 and 2" but the LED will light without the motor turning. They sent the same message again. I said it still doesn't work. The response was "we have to check inventory to replace it". So I wait. Now I could just buy another one and have it the next day according to the product page so I would think inventory is not a problem. I'll update this review when a replacement arrives...

I got this when it was on sale and I wasn’t expecting a lot from a 20v chainsaw but I was surprised, it actually works decently for what it is. I cleared out a lot of fallen branches after an ice storm and got around 45 minutes a battery with pretty heavy use. The plastic hand guard piece did snap off the first time I used it so be careful about that when using it. The seller was very responsive and helpful about it so 5 stars for that as well.

Decent for the price. It handled small branches very well. Assembly was easy. It's very easy to adjust the tension. My main issue is the nuts that keep the cover on come loose often. And there is a good amount of kickback.

I’m 61 yrs young and it is perfect for me ( I’m a woman) it is not heavy and bulky, starts and runs easy. It cuts thru the logs like a butter knife and it’s really easy to keep clean. It gets into between branches and gets bumped around a lot but no damages. I really love it!! Now I don’t have to call my son or friends to cut my wood for me!!

I’ve cut through over 50 logs with it. Throw away the lubricant included in the kit—it’s meant for a trimmer and won’t work for this tool. Instead, buy a very small bottle of specialized lubricant; that will be enough to get you through a couple of truckloads of firewood.

Update - the company issued a refund for me. If I could give zero stars I would! Also - I have never left a bad review before. This is a poorly made product. I tried (unsuccessfully) to get the chain at the proper tension. The chain either wouldn't tighten at all or got too tight once I turned the saw on or it would be too loose and the chain would get tossed off. Then I had to completely remove the side panel to try to adjust the tension....repeat process many many times. Then, I spent hours explaining to four different customer service representatives that the tension knob isn't functioning properly. They all offered advice: rewatch the video, then said adjust the brake - based on a brake the saw doesn't have, then blamed the battery, then told me to make sure the red button is off (red button where?) See pictures and video of the tension knob clearly not working. Others have had the same issue. Buyer beware! Looks like you have a good shot at getting a lemon with this saw! If you do try it i hope the stars align and you get a good one (as several reviewers appear to have) I have tried to upload a video but it isn't letting me!

Nice little saw that runs far longer than advertised on a charge. Since "run time" is when the saw is actually running you can do a lot of cutting on one charge. Light and easy to handle, stops instantly when you let go of the trigger for safety. Great tool for a small price
