The product is great. There were features engineered into this that I really appreciated; having not put together another brand's pergola, I don't know if they're standard features, but it made assembly easier; if you've put together larger-scale items like playgrounds or other outdoor sets, this is par for the course or a little easier. It'll take two people most of a day. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is not due to the manufacturer, but due to Amazon and probably the shipper. I ordered two sets. Upon delivery, one of the legs was damaged beyond use due to a shipping accident, and one of the two sets was missing Box 2 of 7 when it arrived. The delivery guy told me it probably got left wherever the plastic wrap failed. I tried to go through Amazon's system to save the manufacturer and Amazon some costs, but the system is structured to return and replace, not contact the manufacturer with simple issues. For that reason, and due to Amazon's cumbersome system disallowing simple error corrections, and the manufacturer's oversight in providing me a way to contact them, I gave it 4 stars. If you get the 7 boxes and none are damaged, you'll love this set. There is no explanation on what the heck the tube of goo is, or where specifically to use it, but find a better source for a dark gray RTV. The one provided will rupture at multiple points if you try to use the directional application cap. ... show more

I made the mistake of ordering 2 of these. After putting it more than half way together and hiring assembly help, the first box had 2 broken parts which they said they could not replace. I had to pay works to put it together, disassemble it and re-box it for return. Box 2 was completely missing another part. I called the manufacture and again no replacement parts were available. I had to again pay for assembly, then disassemble it again. I do not recommend doing this to yourself. Go with another version. Even the return is problematic! Good product, easy to assemble. But I give it 4 stars because is short is just 7' feet tall and I'm 6' 3", so I have to add 1 feet to the post.
