As a light source it is bright and does a great job, even on the low setting. It does get warm when it is on, but not concerningly warm. Just be mindful to keep an eye on it. The true bonus to this light and the real reason you should purchase, is as a charging station that lasts a super long time. I mean honestly it has charged a phone, kept a USB fan running for 10 hrs during one event, it ran down a little. I came home recharged it back to full and used it the second day and it still has a charge 2 weeks later. Just received today, so sharing a quick review. First off, the light arrived full charged, a nice plus. Second, when clicking on to the highest setting, it is really bright! I will be using this as the main light inside the canopy of our campsite this weekend when camping. It features a small magnet on the back to attach to metal surface, and also a hook to hang as well. While, the magnet seems sufficient, the hook looks like it may wear down over time. The size of the light is large, yet fitting inside the palm of my hand in the picture. It does everything! Beautiful light. Love the warm option! Remote is great. 1/4 20 thread! One thing to watch for. Charge with the one supplied or one that meets the 3C requirement they mention. I use the USB C and it didn't flash until I found the original charger. If yours won't charge, try different charging heads in the USB C until it flashes. If you don't have it, order one. This light is worth the trouble. I just tested it after sitting outside through the entire Winter weather. It still has half the charge!!! ... show more
