My husband installed this in a few minutes. He was able to cut the exact shape of our bedroom window. Now our bedroom is nice and dark. We didn't have an issue with heat from the window, so I can't speak on the materials ability to reflect heat.

WELL 1ST OF ALL I ORDERED 4 OF THEM NOT REALIZING HOW HUGE THEY ARE, THESE THINGS ARE BIG SO BE FOREWARNED ON HOW MANY WINDOWS YOU'RE TRYING TO COVER... I'M REALLY REALLY REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THEM WAY MORE THAN I THOUGHT I WOULD BE!!!! THE ONLY HARD PART WAS CUTTING THEM TO FIT A COUPLE OF MY WINDOWS.... I WOULD SUGGEST USING AN XACTO OR GLASS SCORING KNIFE AND NOT SCISSORS BC THE SCISSORS GET CAUGHT AND STOP AND THEN UR CURTAIN WILL GET JAGGED EDGES ON IT... I REALLY CAN'T SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THEM I SUGGEST GETTING THEM IF U WANT COMPLETE DARKNESS.... I ENJOY THEM VERY MUCH!!!!

I like it because it does do itโs job if you apply correctly. The adhesive it came with doesnโt stick to the wall very well. And you have to get it to where the light doesnโt come out from around the curtain but I do like it.

I work nights and also live in an insanely hot state that is summer year round. It can become frustrating trying to get blinds (they get pricey especially if you need a certain colour, size, etc) so this was a nice, budget friendly solution. Itโs a huge sheet that covered both large windows in the master suite with some leftover so it was good in that regard. The flip side of that is it is very large so find somewhere spacious to cut it and would probably make it easier with a second set of hands (though I managed fine solo). Blocks out *everything!* which is so nice! Iโll admit I have to check my clock all the time because I canโt judge by the sunlight what time of day it is. Iโm also hopeful this will also help block out the heat since it is a reflective surface that faces the sun but the benefits of knowing Iโll be able to sleep better before my shifts makes the purchase one I highly suggest. **UPDATE: I thought it only fair to update as it has been a couple of days hitting triple digit weather with the worst of summer still looming. You can definitely feel a huge difference in my room! Before when I would enter in the PM after I got off work it was like getting slammed by a heat wall! Now, itโs actually comfortable, my ice in my water stays icy longer, and my dogs are able to lay on my bed without panting up a storm. Also, I am able to sleep undisturbed whereas before, since it was so hot, I was awake every few hrs kicking off my blanket, tossing it back on (I canโt sleep uncovered), repeat. Am considering covering more windows/ordering more. Many thanks!

I live in Texas under the heat dome. I stay in an RV and desperately needed something to help block out the sun. I work from home and an RV ac just doesnโt work as well as a housing unit typically does. I have a huge window in my office and myself and my 2 pups were getting overwhelmed by the excessive heat. To be honest, I cheated with the directions bcs I was in such a hurry. I just cut out the window shape and used black duct tape around my entire window. I was surprised it still looked so neat. Itโs quotient thin so I was skeptical- but It works really well and my home office cools down easily now. Itโs been about a month now with temps everyday at 110 or more and Iโm so glad I got this when I did. I plan on doing my bedroom windows now because there is so much left over. I even shared some with my dad who is struggling in the heat here, as well and I still have a huge amount to use left over. My little pups and I thank you - from under the current โheat domeโ here in Texas, THANK YOU!!!
