This filter pump came in to chew bubblegum and kick @ss, and it's all out of bubblegum. Truly a great filter. I, unfortunately, neglected my pool over the winter and it was disgusting. Thankfully this filter pump is a trooper and has cleaned out the gunk and made the water clear in about a week. Great pump I would recommend to anyone w an above ground pool as it was less expensive than the standard filter Carthage pump and there is not any additional cost for filter cartridges and the sand filtering the water for 5 years b4 needing replacement.     • Worked great for one day - did get a replacement
Update: We received a replacement pump and so far it's been just fine. I've updated my review from below. The replacement process and talking to their customer service wasn't that great but otherwise the issue seems resolved. The first day the pump worked great. It was a little complicated to set up and super hard to find filter sand locally - but it did come with an ok-ish manual. The second day we noticed it was leaking water from the actual pump housing ( not the pipes or connections) and we tried looking at it but could not find any seals or parts that were loose or damaged. By the third day the pump would not pump at all it was completely not working. It makes a dull hum when we plug it in, but does not pump. Customer service has been extremely frustrating so far. Will update the review if we ever manage to get a replacement or exchange. ... show more

    • Limiter use pump
No prepump filter it needs a filter before the pump. It jamed after a short time and didn't work

But then I bought which was recommended by the manufacturer number 20 was too fine it ended up going through the filter and back into my pool so I went and bought filter balls and then he seemed to be working very well otherwise in that I have no problem with the filter

Easy to hook up works great on my above ground Coleman 16ft pool. Keeps it clean and does such a better job than the stock pump that came with it.
