I’m pretty impressed with the sound and quality of this “cheap” sub unit. First impression was that it was way to loud and hitting too hard. I quickly realized all of the adjustment knobs on the back were turned all the way to max. Once adjusted the sound was much better and actually really pretty good considering this is a sub for less than $100. It far exceeded my expectations at that price point. My only concern is that the volume remote doesn’t appear to be working on my unit. I haven’t had time to check it thoroughly yet but so far the remote is useless and thus the 4 star review. I’ll update if I figure it out. The included wiring kit is pretty basic but worked mostly. I needed about two feet more for the control wire and I added a ground wire as the one included is only about 12 inches long. I currently have it under the rear seat of my 07 Dodge ram truck. I had planned to put it under the passenger or driver seat but bolts in my seats prevented it from fitting. I think it probably sounds better under the back seat anyway and probably adds to the sound quality of the sub due to the harmonics of basically having a much larger area that acts like a sub box. ... show more

    • Compact design lacking in bass you can feel, but fills sound nicely.
Well... let's start with space. It's easy to fit in a small space, functions well. Design is minimal and it functions with some added features like a bass knob to mount to dash. Sound: not bad, not great. My main components are infinity references and kicker mids with Polk audio tweets. The sound was great before but I needed that extra low bass. This does not do that. The filter pass won't really hit lower than 80. And if you go to high it sounds bad. But mid range, this thing is a great added bonus, it shines through great drum bass, electro mids, so it's diverse. But if your looking for bass that shakes... this is not it. Overall: I'm not sure what my expectation was for 100 dollars. But it's not bad for a compact design and filling the space with some decent sound. It's just not going to produce that vibration during rap bars that keep you excited. You will need to find tune it to get where it's acceptable and producing good sound through all genres. Bass? It's more sound than vibration. But it will fill the needs on a stock system upgrade and make it more enjoyable. Currently installed in a 2006 honda element with a pioneer touch screen with Android auto, navigation and subwoofer pre out. Dynamic doors and rear. Speakers: 6.5 infinity references fronts with Polk components. Rear speakers: 6.5 kickers with 2 piece design tweets. Then added this sub under rear seat. I'll probably go with something bigger or more bass oriented for feeling but overall it's decent. ... show more

Well... I just hate when vendors advertise wrong information intentionally.... I just hate it... why do not say it a 8.5in or 9in (for most) and then you know what exactly to expect and what you are buying. You may think, they measured from the "outer ring" well... bad news, even considering that still not 10in lol .... So this subwoofer was the "cheapest" option of 10in, but since it is not a real 10in and it is a 8in, then is just a regular 8in option and NOT the cheapest, once that's said, the woofer sounds less powerful than the 10in I have in other car. Yes I know 10in is more than 8in, but remember this is advertised as a 10in woofer so in the 10in range, it is less powerful than other options.... I hope from the deep of my heart that this type of companies go bankrupt for false adverstisement, lol ... show more

    • Better than I expected
I installed this in my 2011 F150 Super Cab behind the back rear seat . It sounds incredible, I replaced my 4 factory speakers two weeks before getting this amp/sub with Kicker series and knew I was still missing a full deep sound. I have an aftermarket Sony head unit that is nothing special...I think 45 watts per channel x4, but adding this Subwoofer just put my system over the top, it has a great sound you can feel and clear bass and drums in music... The included bass adjustment knob is perfect and I use it all the time when listening to different types of music, not every song needs to hit you in the back of the head with bass, but a touch of that dial and you put it where you want it...very pleased with this unit and recommend to anyone on a budget and wants to put that extra punch into the sound of your existing setup. ... show more

Look at what I compared it to. The 8inch MUCH smaller box Rockville for the same price and the Walmart box with a 10 inch same price. I expected this 10inch larger box to blow away the Rockville. Sadly I can’t believe how much better that tiny Rockville sounded. The whole point is to fit it under a seat and this one was just too big. If it blew away the 8inch in sound quality I would have kept it. But unfortunately nothing comes close to a compact real 10 inch woofer like this cheap one from Walmart. Nice build quality and easy to install, but that’s it. ... show more
