Pretty good picture quality for what it is. Very simple to set up and easy to use, and I'd say so far it's worth the price for what I need it for. The monitor also comes with its own HDMI cable, but I'd get a different one just in case the one it comes with doesn't last, also it'd be a good idea to save the one it comes with for emergencies.

Our security system had a built in display. The display stopped working, but the base unit seemed to be working. This unit replaced the screen. The system immediately recognized the alternative monitor, far less expensive than replacing the entire security system.

Purchased because needed a monitor with composite video input so I can review my old VHS and hi-8 tapes. You can change aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3. Picture quality is good but you have limited angle of view for good color and contrast. Initially, remote had to be within 3 inches from bottom right corner of the screen to work. The next day the remote started to work normally. Menu button and volume buttons on the front is handy if you lose the remote
