I was looking to update my 2011 Jeep Patriot to a stereo that supported wireless CarPlay for my iPhone. I'm a decently techy person, but have only installed one other stereo in a car myself 15 years or so ago. I took a chance on this and am SO annoyed with myself for not doing it way sooner. Once you understand the instruction page, the install was extremely simple. My original temperature control knobs and air vents were very easy to attach to this new kit and it looks fantastic. PROS: - Easy install once you understand the instruction page - It isn't step by step, but it does label all the cords that need plugged in well - My steering wheel volume and 'skip' buttons worked immediately after install without me needing to manually program them - MOSTLY user friendly touchscreen interface - The actual touchscreen is an android device so you have to click on the app titled 'zLink' to access CarPlay - I wish it would default to the the CarPlay screen when I start my vehicle - Wireless CarPlay is a GAMECHANGER - I also ran the wired USB port that the kit comes with out and through my glovebox so I CAN charge my phone through the stereo when I want to, but can otherwise just connect wirelessly and leave that cord stashed away in my glovebox! CONS: - Minor: Actual touchscreen lags a TINY bit, but not enough for me to really care - Minor: Volume and skip controls from my steering wheel lag by almost 1 second... it's slightly annoying but not enough to keep me from using them - Minor: Again, I wish there was an option to set a 'default' start screen when your vehicle starts. It's super minor, but I don't love that I have to touch the 'zLink' app before CarPlay opens up. Overall, EXTREMELY satisfied with this purchase!

It literally is a plug n play! There’s no instructions on how to install it and it comes with 2 different harnesses. At first when I installed it, it didn’t turn on, until I removed the little brown module from the other harness and attached it to the harness that fits my vehicle part. You just remove the vents from the other car part and screw it onto the plug n play part where the vents are. You also remove the air conditioner controller from the previous car part and screw it onto the plug n play. Then you start to attach the harness and it turn on your vehicle. That’s when the android interface turns on and it works! Again, if yours doesn’t turn on, attach the brown module to the harness that fits your vehicle’s harness and it will work like a charm. Again, there’s no instructions on that and I had to figure it out. The brown module can be removed from the other harness by gently pressing on the button that connects it and then it releases. I am happy that I can hear music from my vehicle again and I didn’t want to pay someone to install it either. And I’m a female that did it myself!

Purchased this product to replace my broken 2014 jeep patriot radio and its not my daily vehicle, I only drive it maybe once a month but the radio worked fine on install but for whatever reason it only turns on once in while when I start the vehicle. It reminds me of the old screen of death of the old consoles

Plug and play. Good value for the money. Connections were all supplied. Appearance is great. Down fall sometimes it will just not work when you turn on you’re car. Fixable by just popping it off the dash unplugging it and plugging it back in. Never figured out how to fix the date and time I messed with all the settings but it’s stuck in china time on a date dated back to March 2023. It can be tricky at first to figure it out. I spent probably an hour messing with it once installed but works great other than human error and probably the older hardware.

10/10 would recommend. Super easy to install. Was basically plug and play. Still all the functionality of the factory steering wheel controls. The wireless CarPlay is great and you will have 2 usb ports. I haven’t the factory boston sound system and amp sub everything works and sounds great.
