Seems better used for decorative purposes. The writing is in a thin font that’s spotty and difficult to read. Definitely 5” from wrist to finger tip. The “base” seems clunky but it does stay level. Could maybe use for a card holder? Not sure how well it would stay up on the wrist, as I didn’t have it on a desk or an area with a lot of movement. ... show more

Too small, and not really made to stand up like it should (can only lay flat or risk it falling over). The writing can be read but is blurry. Overall, not a good purchase and too much of a hassle to send back...

This is SUCH a cool piece!!! I've wanted something like this for awhile but antique ones can get a little pricey. I'm glad I chose to order. From other reviews I expected it to be really small, but I am completely happy with its size. Is it an adult sized hand? No. It's definitely a child's, but it's not, say, a baby sized hand! The engravings are very easy to read and see, so I'm not sure why others have trouble reading or seeing the markings. It looks so cool standing up on the wrist, but the back of the hand is flat with some soft protective, uh, what are those things called? The little round sticky things you put on the bottom of stuff so it doesn't scratch the surface it's on? I dunno what they're called at the moment, but it has those on it on the flat side to lay it flat if you so choose. It's got a decent weight to it so it's not going to just fall over and it's definitely not flimsy or cheap looking. The quality is fabulous for something so inexpensive. I'm really impressed. It comes with a little booklet that provides a very basic intro to palm reading, but it's super cute and well put together. I really enjoy this piece and it looks great on my bookshelf next to my Tibetan singing bowl and crystals. I'm definitely going to keep this in mind to give as gifts in the future. It was difficult to read and I had to trace over parts of it with a sharpie so they could be seen. The planetary symbols on the fingers were not placed on the correct fingers. That was very disappointing. But it's cute. More decoration than actual reference tool.

    • Wouldn’t order this item again.
Ordered this from Amazon Warehouse. Was described as ‘Like New’ condition, and that it would come in the original packaging, but the packaging was damaged. This was missing the instruction booklet, a key component. That’s hardly in Like New condition. Outside of that, while I did look at the photos before ordering, this seems even smaller in person. ... show more

I can handle the VERY small size but my true disappointment came with the fact that it does not stand up for display, it must lie flat. The book ( which I have seen in small shops made in a better material like in the photo is only white printer paper. It's not a nice little guidebook that you would keep out and won't last long. ... show more

I did not read the dimensions of this item. It looks like many others didn't either. It is smaller than I expected, but that's why I like it. It will fit better on a small reading table or display area. Upon further research, I discovered that the creator of the hand used his own daughters' hand for his casting! She was only 4 years old, so if you can picture a child of that age, you will have a general idea of the size of this hand. I love it. It can not be hung on a wall, however. It’s a cute idea, but mine came almost as if unfinished. It is faded in most areas(near fingers), half carved in most symbols, and it’s not worth the money. Would like to get a nicely made one
