I ordered this hitch for our John Deere x394 lawn tractor to be able to tow our Champion log splitter around. We have a John Deere rear weight bracket, made for the x300 & x500 series, on our lawn tractor already. The weight bracket that we have looks to be made of a similar quality 1/4" steel that the hitch is made of. The weight bracket also has holes that line up with the hitch. All the nuts & bolts, that I needed to install the hitch, came with it. This made for very easy installation. The only things I needed to bring to the installation: a 15mm wrench, a ratchet wrench, a 15mm socket, and the ball mount. As for the hitch itself: the hitch looks to be durable and of great quality! the welds are excellent! and, the paint finish looks really good! I used a digital level to make sure the log splitter tongue weight wouldn't be too much stress for the tractor weight bracket and tractor frame. Before hitching up the log splitter, I made sure that the hitch was completely level. After that, I went ahead & hooked up the log splitter. I drove the tractor with the log splitter out of our pole barn to where we normally split wood. The hitch definitely held the log splitter out far away from the tires enough to not interfere with the four wheel steering of the x394 tractor. Upon returning to the pole barn, the weight of the log splitter tongue had lowered the hitch by 1.5 degrees. Upon removing the log splitter tongue, the hitch only remained lowered by 0.6 degrees. Then, just by lifting the weight bracket up with my hands, I was able to get the hitch back to where it was completely level again. So, I feel confident that the weight of the log splitter tongue & hitch did not adversely stress the weight bracket or tractor frame. I'm glad that I found this hitch! Another nice thing about this hitch is all the extra parts that come with it. It even includes a hitch pin with cotter pins! That way, one can leave this new hitch on the tractor & still haul around a utility cart. Cool!

This might be the best quality welds on any Chinese part I've ever seen. Never know what your going to get with some of these Chinese parts, but this really is top notch. Its made as a universal fit to lawn equipment, I put mine on a John Deere LA140. I had to drill my frame, but I expected that. The kit came with enough nuts & bolts to fit most applications. I often use my tractor to move my road trailers and my yard utility trailers. This allows me to do both without using wrenches to install and remove a ball making it very versatile and easy for me to use. It helps with my small yard utility trailer because it moves the clevis pin hole back a few inches providing more room between handle and tractor fenders. I find this very useful and would recommend to anyone that uses their tractor to pull various different items.

Nice way to add a receiver hitch to your zero turn. Sure beats the bolt and chain I was using before. I could see how this would be easily installed but I welded mine. The unit itself feels heavy and well made but I did not see a great way to mount it using bolts.

Fit my JD E100 series tractor perfectly. I used 5/16 hardware instead of the provided so I wouldn't have to drill holes in my tractor. The slots and holes make installing a breeze. Now I can move my boat around at home easily. Well made, sturdy welds, dimensions are all correct. This is a beefy hitch so no worries. Can be used on many different machines. Wont bend with this high quality thick steel. Mounting height was perfect. Great value at this price.
