Description

The NWA210AX series can easily be setup by utilizing Zyxel’s NebulaFlex technology, you can setup and manage the NWA210AXSeries Access Points via our hassle free Nebula cloud management platform, with a few simple clicks via the APP or via a browser. Nebula also allows you to easily make changes to several Access Points via it’s central control panel along with also other Nebula supported devices like Switches and Firewalls. Additionally, the NWA210AX also support a traditional standalone configuration and setup via its local Web interface allowing each device to be independently configured. Built on a 2nd Generation WiFi 6 chipset, the access point is able to take advantage of the full range of WiFi 6 standard including uplink OFDMA and MU-MIMO which can’t be found in earlier releases of WiFi 6 (802.11ax) products. The NWA210AX leverages from Enterprise grade Chipset boasting Power Performance powered by a Quad-core Qualcomm 1Ghz A53 CPU to provide consistently smooth delivery to wireless clients. WiFi uses a technique called Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM). Wi-Fi 5 used 512-QAM, which let the system transmit eight bits at once; Wi-Fi 6 uses 1024-QAM, which lets 10 bits be transmitted at the same time. That gives a 25% speed improvement! With Zyxel’s Innovative design and commitment to 'RF First' for high performance and reliable connections through design, the NWA210AX Series delivers increased coverage and improved connection speeds for every client. The NebulaFlex series of APs can join our License Free Nebula Cloud management platform. Simply register your AP via the APP or the portal (Nebula Control Centre) and the device will automatically join, auto provision and begin to give you real-time control and information, anywhere, anytime. Not ready for the cloud? No problem the NWA210AXseries offers a standalone mode, allowing you to setup each AP via its local user-friendly web interface and setup wizard. Quality business grade wall or ceiling mount modern access point. The performance seems good in my testings from various devices. I really like that Zyxel does not force some cloud only junk admin approach that can become a subscription or something later. While they have a good cloud portal in both free and paid forms ( I used this for many years with my IT support company) I REALLY like that they allow local or cloud management with solid features and functionality. I personally sold many Zyxel firewalls, switches, and APs for cost constrained clients with good results.     • NWA210AX it has been working good, not the easiest to setup.
/2023 update: overall I am very pleased with this AP. It has great range, stable, great speeds and has been more reliable and just plain better overall compared to Wi-Fi from a Router/Wi-Fi combo device. I bought this to expand my coverage from my router, which is a NetGear Nighthawk X10 R9000. Ended up just turning the radios off on my $400 R9000 because this Zyxel AP is way better by itself. Real world speeds, 866M Rx/Tx per device on 5G. In the config it says right next to the option for 160MHz support "BETA" so is it really a WIFI 6 AP if one of the key features of WIFI 6 is not fully supported? It also doesn't support DCS with 160Mhz channel so, manual channel selection only. It is a powerful device with lots of features but, not much help in the UI as far as what the settings do. ... show more

    • Misleading users guide documentation (pdf), other than that its pretty nice for my basic needs.
Users Setup Guide: ---------------------- Setup Method #1 - Their Nebula Cloud site, i cant figure out how to setup WiFi SSID, seems nonexistant. Setup Method #2 - Nebula Cloud App (Android), i was able to setup in minutes with WiFi SSID *** Setup Method #3 - Local Admin + Password 1234, this suppose to be how it works for IT nerds to gain access and do their configs, but does not work for me at all (including factory resetting multiple times) Summary: ---------------------- This is a business class WiFi AccessPoint as it seems, but I am purchasing this for large residential coverage purpose and I am seriouisly tired of WiFi drop outs with false promises by other brands, so giving this premium Zyxel a try, so far WiFi is quite strong. You will need to create cloud account, create a permanent "Organization Group" name. You can use basic functions for the life the product and seems like you can group managed based on location (no monthly fees required - it better be us consumers). You purchase bundled cloud package feature, I have zero interest, just want a Secure Wi-Fi device, but its entirely up to you as a ownership of this Cloud Service / Product Inventory management. Aside from the poor users start up guide misleading me to time losses, its not too bad! Also ... just a thought after playing with this Nebula Cloud Management, It almost seems as if I can manage two houses using same WiFi SSID setup under same organization unit.... but havent try, imagine working at home and you are now on vacation home.. same SSID, instant connectivitiy, also check if internet is down remotely.. ... show more

    • Fantastic speed and range, works great
The setup for this couldn't have been simpler, I just connected and set my WiFi password. The speed is incredible, the signal is solid and very consistent and reliable. When combined with https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MRV4WA1 I was able to add upstairs WiFi by leveraging my existing cable TV line that I was not using. I'm extremely happy with the whole setup. I also recommend https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07TQFVG2L which I used to provide POE+ to power the access point. ... show more

    • Zyxel is the best
After an absolutely unacceptable experience with Cisco, I decided to give something different a try. I had a GREAT experience with Zyxel network gear and now use their switches and WAPs exclusively. I have several different buildings all with very different loads and demands. All of them are loving their network and I love the fact that you don't need extra controllers or dongles to manage everything from one cloud console. Everything about this equipment is mint and is every bit as good as Cisco...and this stuff makes Ubiquiti look like an absolute joke! ... show more

    • it might work and it might not
I bought this unit because I can ( reportedly ) manage it locally with a web browser. However the web interface is slow and not very well done. The unit has no link local addressing so i had to look it up in my DHCP leases before I could connect to it. It took a lot of effort but I did get it going. UPDATE: Stopped working after I powered it off to move. If I power cycle it I can connect and run the setup wizard but then it stops responding to the network. Not at all reliable. ... show more

    • Mixed Feelings
I love the specs of this WAP. I have mixed feelings about the longevity of it though. At first, it was ok but then it becomes problematic for certain devices connecting. The wifi signal would drop out and come back a few minutes later. A networked printer wouldn't be available through the wifi when nothing had been changed on the network. When it works it works great. Nothing faster when you're within about 25 feet of the WAP. Let's not forget all the benefits of having wifi6; that in itself it lightyears ahead of regular wifi as far as having many devices connected to a network. Let's see if a replacement will be the same. ... show more
