The carpet tucker drives the trimmed edge down into the gap along baseboards and stair risers without tearing the backing. The carpet knife handles trimming along walls and around obstacles. Steel and aluminum construction throughout means these hold up to repeated jobs rather than flexing or loosening after a few installs.
