The Fresh & Save BPA-free vacuum sealer bags are designed to work with the vacuum sealer food pump. This keeps food fresh up to five times longer than non-vacuum storage. This set of food storage bags features 10 small bags. Freeze whole dinners, reheat lunch for one, or package up fresh ingredients. The easy-zip closure ensures a tight seal and no spills, and the included liquid barrier helps to ensure liquids aren't absorbed by the vacuum pump. With the Fresh & Save system, you can shop once a week and refrigerate or freeze fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and fish in our vacuum containers and bags and enjoy the benefits of your own fresh market at home. Prepare your meals days in advance and enjoy them as fresh as the day they were cooked. Cook meat sous vide or marinate meat for the grill in just 30 minutes in the vacuum sealer bags and containers. Here's how it works: Simply fill the bag and close with the practical leak-proof zipper. Dock the vacuum pump onto the bag valve and at the push of a button extract the air in mere seconds. It stops automatically once a sufficient vacuum has been obtained. Then simply press the push button in the middle of the red silicone valve on the bag to seal it securely. Aromas and vitamins are locked in and food stays fresh up to five times longer!

Ive had problems with the Fresh Preserve bags staying sealed (could be user error) and these are a very viable alternative. Plus they are much more affordable. I don’t have a problem with them losing the seal at all. I highly recommend them.

I got tired of hauling out my FoodSaver for storing freezer items or sous vide. It's a little old, and not always predictable on the seal. So I switched to the Zwilling Vacuum. 1. This has essentially zero footprint. As opposed to my Foodsaver. 2. The bags STAY sealed. Besides sous vide, I'm now using them for veggies, herbs, deli meat, cheese (do NOT give me grief on how I store my cheese). 3. My family actually doesn't mind resealing the bags. 4. Have not yet had a leak with sous vide 5. Every size you need is in this package 6. I don't find them that hard to clean. Then again, I grew up with a mother who used to wash her ziplock bags and hang them out on the laundry line to dry ....So that could be a negative for someone else. ... show more

The bags are really sturdy and durable, but for some reason, they lose their vacuum seal fairly often. I haven't been able to tell yet if they are actually defective, if the valve needs a better cleaning between uses, or if I'm not pushing hard enough on the valve to obtain a proper seal. I would suggest always using the little zipping tool to ensure you are tight on that seal. If I identify a user error, I will come back to update. With that said, their thickness makes them easy to clean and good for freezing. I'm thinking it would be hard to find a better option, and for handheld vacuum sealing, some less than perfect sealing seems to be par for the course. You can get cheaper ones that seem to be equally thick, but with a hard plastic valve, their mystery seal failure seems harder to even influence, so I think you get what you pay for here. ... show more

My SIL showed me these really neat vacuum bags she uses, so I found the vacuum tool in a thrift store for $4! Figured I'd try it for $4 and it worked perfectly. This product is the neatest thing since sliced bread, bc I can now keep the bread fresh for a longer period of time. The bags are durable, pretty easy to clean, just sponge them out and rinse. Like all plastic bags, you have to stand them up opened so they dry. I have to figure out how to use the wet implement, but I really like these bags. ... show more

I absolutely love all the sizes of these bags. I store all my cut cheeses in the small ones. Flash frozen chicken, meatballs, beef and pork. Yes they are pricey but lose one block of specialty cheese and they pay for themselves.
