These thin replacement lights were easy enough to install. However, FYI, they do not have the screw type for sockets. You might need someone who know a little on electrical wire connections. It uses little plastic “clips” so that you would stick the wire in and not use the twist type wire connectors. Overall the brightness is adequate. Keep I mind you’ll need ti determine what color you want during installation. The switch allows you to choose from cool to warm lights. But, after the transformer is in the ceiling, you’ll need to be able to access it again to change light color. ... show more

These lights are good enough for most installations, but the finish of the rings was not quite as good as what we already had. As a result, we eight had to swap out all of the lights in that room or accept that this one had a glossy ring with some minor scuffs over the matte rings on the existing lights. ... show more

4.5 Stars I got these to be installed in the living room as recessed lighting. The lights are bright and the option to pick 5 different light colors is great. The slim profile of the lights were absolutely necessary for my install. Of the 6 lights that were installed , all 6 were under a 2x4 wood in the ceiling. This still allowed me to install the lights where I wanted them. The 4 stars is because that of the 6 lights I installed, 1 of the Junction boxes was faulty. It smoked and the light stopped working. I had to change out the Junction box and rewire. The set comes with 16 lights, but 1 out of 6 was a little disappointing. I still have more to do and I hope none of the other Junction boxes blow too. Other than that, the lights look great and I'm happy with the install. ... show more

This recessed light has a nice appearance and is ultra-thin. Inside the housing are the naked wires and hardware for mounting. The side clips are nice - firm and spring loaded, that makes installation a lot easier. The lights are bright for a single LED - you should expect to install one for every 6'-8' or so to fully illuminate a room. At a little over $6/each, you really can't go wrong. ... show more
