    • Incredibly flexible small footprint light that can literally go anywhere

This is a small light that can throw a pretty significant amount of lumens. It has two switches mounted on top of its driver/work box that detaches from the light wafer itself by an easy to unplug connector making installation a breeze. The switches allow selection of three preset lumen outputs of up to 1,000 lumens, all of which can be operated from a standard dimmer down to 10%. The plug-in fixture to work box connection allows you to install the box from below, working through the ceiling opening if need be. All that's needed is the power wire and a 3/8" Romex (if working with Romex) connector. once the box is secured and the connection made the fixture itself can then very simply and quickly be plugged into the pigtail and the two spring loaded retainers engaged behind the drywall to hold everything tight. These have a list of quality features that make the fixture an absolutely great value. For one thing, it's approved for wet location and IC, or Insulation Contact installs, so everything from standard blanket insulated attics to cathedral and vaulted ceilings can easily accommodate these. The only difficult or limiting aspect of utilizing these in remodels is just running the wire. Then there's the second switch on the work box. It allows the user to select from five different light color temperatures, from a warm 2,700 degrees Kelvin all of the way up to a white daylight 5,000 degrees, all from the same Energy Star rated LED fixture that uses a fraction of the electricity that its 75 watt incandescent counterpart would have consumed. Add to that a 50,000 hour life expectancy and these literally pay for themselves in either energy saving or just the cost of bulb replacements that you won't be making, and that of course is the biggest value because it saves your valuable time. The visible portion is a nicely finished (powder coated I think) aluminum frame surrounding a poly-carbonate lens (generic Lexan) that can blend with just about anything short of Early American or Colonial in terms of style, but the minimal projection mounting makes these about as unobtrusive as a light can possibly be. All that you'll probably notice is the light itself, but the frame is also easily painted in you desire more complete camouflage. The manufacturer's packaging was pretty bullet-proof and I'd feel perfectly fine carrying dozens of these in the back of a work van without fear of damage. I ordered this ceiling light hoping it would be the perfect replacement for the rusty one in my shower enclosure. I couldn't be happier with how well the light works and it has a solid, high quality design with premium features. The hardest part was removing the old round junction box so I could fit the included terminal box in the ceiling above the shower. The wiring in the terminal box is easy to use. Simply strip a short section on each of the 3 existing wires in your house and use the push to connect terminals in the terminal box. Next you can turn on your light switch and decide on your lights brightness and color temperature using the sliding switches on the terminal box. For the small shower enclosure, I selected medium brightness and 4000k cool white for the color. The barrel connector between the terminal box and light fixture works great. Just make sure you line it up properly and secure it by rotating the round plastic nut. I used some silicone glue to hold the white foam gasket ring securely on the top side of the fixture to keep it from shifting. Next I rotated the red tipped spring tabs to fit the fixture into the ceiling. The springs keep the light fixture gasket securely against the ceiling for a smooth, clean look. It is still easy enough to pull down the fixture if you want to adjust the light settings or of you need tp rotate the fixture to square it with the room. I don't have many flush mount ceiling lights in my house, but if I decide to upgrade, these would be at the top of my list. It is easy to work with and install, the features are great, and the light quality is excellent. If you are replacing an existing light, you will need to remove the round junction box so you can fit the included terminal box up in the ceiling. ... show more

For color temperature you can select between the now standard 5 choices: soft 2700K, warm 3000K, neutral 3500K, cool 4000K, or daylight white 5000K, as well as brightness (lumens) options of low 650 LM , medium 850 LM, and high 1000 LM, which facilitates installations at different ceiling heights. The innovative slim design allows for easy installation from below, thanks to its ultra-thin design that helps fitting it in confined spaces and eases setting up with less install time. Since it is rated for use in wet locations, it can be used as a shower light or as a covered outdoor ceiling light. It is also dimmable down to 10% with standard dimmers. This recessed LED light kit makes a strong first impression with its thoughtful design and solid construction. One of the standout features is the metal junction box and bezel assembly, which immediately feels more durable and higher quality than the all-plastic alternatives you often find in this category. That metal bezel gives the fixture a premium, sturdy feel. Installation is straightforward and installer-friendly. The included junction box has clearly labeled quick-connect terminals and a simple layout that keeps wiring clean and organized. The push-in connectors are a nice touch, making it easy to secure connections without fumbling with wire nuts. The spring clips on the light itself are strong and hold the fixture snugly in place, giving it a flush, professional look once installed. Another highlight is the selectable color temperature feature. This LED light is perfect for remodel jobs where you need a low profile light fixture that you can easily cut the sheet rock and install. It also has a nice junction box connected to it that allows you to do all your wiring and things safely inside it before shoving it up into the ceiling cavity.
