If you want to enter the upper range of GPU's without spending 400+ bucks, the Zotac GTX 1070 mini is a phenomenal card. The cooling on this card is fantastic (I know that being a "mini" card, lots of people will want to know how well the fans and heatsinks perform). This card has a beefy heat sink system to it. The fans do an amazing job of cooling the card down after hours of gaming and it getting warm. At idle, temps are staying right around 38 to low 40's C. At first I had an issue where the card was continuously keeping its clocking speeds up for high performance, even at "idle." I think it was possibly due to a BIOS issue. My BIOS seemed to correct itself after installing the Firestorm software that was included with the card. After a couple hours of gaming, with fans either completely off or running at 3%, the card seems to be maxing at around 61 C. And by manually kicking the fans up to 30% using the Firestorm software, the gpu cools down super quickly back down into the 40s, in less than a minute. The fans are barely audible at 30%, and in my opinion, if you're going to game for several hours in a gpu intensive game, I would recommend going ahead and setting your fans to 20-30% as a good method of keeping things nice and cool without having to blast them. I think in auto mode, the fans kick on around 61 C, and at around 3-7% speed. Which, seems to be enough to keep the card hovering at that temperature. The fans are surprisingly quiet at any range on up to 45%-ish, I would say. As for video performance, this card is a beast. Running all games at max settings at 1080p easily at 100 FPS+. Also, as for VR, I downloaded and ran Steam's VR performance test, and I quote the results, "your system is performing well above what is needed for recommended, high quality VR!" Various benchmark tests and "Can I Run It" tests all indicate this gpu is in the 93rd to 97th percentile in video performance. I snagged the zotac gtx 1070 mini at around $333. Just wait around, watch the stock and prices. Sometimes this card dips as low as $329. My only complaint is how this card is shipped. It was shipped to me in just the Zotac box, rather than inside another box with air bubbles. Seems like it could get damaged easily during shipping being shipped out in this minimalistic manner. Kicks ass

This card is great. In some cases better than the rtx 2060. Minus the ray tracing support. Nvidia rips people off. Specs for money ratio. Card worked as i fixed my rail cable that has a loose wire. If you're looking for beast performance. This is it. Just as good as the rtx 2060 if not faster. Kinda wish i got the 1080 card. But oh well. 🙃 This card will do. For $200+ you can't go wrong at all. This card is a f*cking monster for the price. Plays doom eternal 60fps at ultra nightmare. And battlefront ll ultra setting at 77 frames per second. V-sync off. V-sync capped at 60 and stays 99% there. No damage on my card. True 1070 mini 8gb. Games besides resident evil 2 can't use up all 8gb. Not even half. Almost future proof. In my opinion. The 1070 Mini is a Beast!!!

So i bought this instead of the Amp or amp extreme edition for a couple of reasons. 1. i have a mid tower case and didnt want to sacrifice space and airflow for fitment of the card. 2. because this card doesn't require 2 8 pin connectors run it. in other words it doesnt require as much power from my PSU to run it. This mini version of the 1070 also doesnt have the cool RGB lighting like other full size versions do. I dont really care about flash. just performance and this really does perform!! i have been able overclock it to over 2.1 Ghz and it never gets loud!!! it a freaking beast for gaming!! i highly recommend this card to anyone who doesnt care about cool lighting effects, wants to save space , or just wants a high performance gpu for less than $400 ... show more

Excellent upgrade from a GTX 770.

Upgraded from a GTX 770 that I purchased about 3.5 years ago and boy, what an upgrade it was. I'm still running my Intel i5 2500k (@4Ghz) with 16GB DDR3-1833 RAM and this GTX 1070 is just a monster! My previous GTX 770 was also from Zotac and it worked flawlessly the entire time I had it, but it was a little long in the tooth for modern games. While it did run titles like Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3, I had to turn graphics settings way down to get a consistently playable frame rate. With this 1070, the eye-candy is all the way up and it runs like a champ. My Antec 300 case has about 11" from mounting bracket to HDD rails but my SSD's stick out about an inch so that drops the usable space to about 10" or so. Most 1070's follow the Nvidia reference design specs of 10.5" and while that would technically fit, I would have to move some of my drives around to accommodate a 10"+ card. Rather than doing that, I ended up getting the Zotac GTX 1070 Mini which measures in at about 8.5" and fits perfectly in my case. ... show more

Installed to my hp gaming desktop with a 350W psu and lemme tell you, you're gonna want more wattage out your power supply. It came with 6pin-8pin connectors, and in great antistatic packaging, and overall, it was a great upgrade from 1050 2GB but as soon as it runs unreal engine for more than 30min it starts getting choppy. I found I works better with game ready drivers than studio and that fixed alot of my problem. Great buy experience (easy and fast) and great card. Would recommend but ONLY AFTER inspection of your pc's hardware :) ... show more

The company is a headache.

I just want to make people aware of my experience so that I might save someone a headache that decides to purchase. GTX 970 bought in Oct 2015 with low operating temps causing constant artifacts/system lockups when using more than 2GB vram. I was very forthcoming with all information and patient with this company. This was my first Zotac card. Temps under full load hovered 76-79C maximum. The card worked for a full year before this without issue. While the card was in the shop I came up with the idea to buy a new card for myself and build my fiancee her own gaming PC for Christmas using the 970. I took to amazon and ordered a Zotac 1070 for my current build as I figured they didn't give me any trouble with approving my RMA on the 970 and a two year warranty is not bad. The 1070 actually ran cooler than the 970 ever did. Just dominating games for about a week until it started causing system crashes. The only difference being that the 1070 didn't exhibit intermittent artifacts like the 970. Just locked things up and made me have to reboot my system. I then assumed that there was no way two Zotac cards could fail on me like that within such a short time frame it MUST be another component in my PC. I tested it on my room mate's build (incidentally he has the same zotac 970 but it's still working) and this new 1070 did the same thing. I hit up their live help and asked if they were aware of any kind of issues like this and if there was some sort of patch/driver/bios update that was addressing it. I was told by a rep that there was a bios update in a month (wut?) and it may or may not address the issue. Thank goodness for amazon and their 30 day guarantee. I immediately sent it back and ordered an Asus 1070 which has worked flawlessly in my system ever since. Not a single issue. Fast forward 3 weeks I get an email from Zotac regarding my 970 saying that my fan went bad. I told them that there was no way that that could be the issue, as I actively monitored my operating temps and they never brushed an 80C threshold. They assured me that the card was operating optimally and then they sent it back with a new fan. Meanwhile I have built my fiancee a new/entirely different gaming PC and pop that 970 in for the first time and this thing operates EXACTLY the same temp wise and error wise. I email them and respectfully tell them (despite my urge to state the obvious that I had told them already). They very cryptically state that they will take a look at it again and to send it back. I let a rep know that I'd be willing to send them no only video evidence but also GPU-Z logs of what's happening and they said I could send it to the team who would be performing the diagnostic. I have very little faith in their diagnostic/repair process. If I can replicate this issue in 5 minutes with just standard software what does that say about their RMA team? I just want to leave this as a warning for potential buyers. Their hardware is hit or miss. Their RMA diagnostic team is sub par. Their cards may be a bit cheaper than other competitors but do you really want to take that gamble? I intend to update when they send the 970 back for the second time if the issue has been fixed. 1080p Maximum Settings Bone Crushing Machine And Unstoppable Power In AAA Games.

I tried I desperately tried to bog this card down on my Acer 1080p display and I can't!! First and foremost Zotac makes really nice cards that have great warranty's if they stop working. Asus/MSI/Gigabyte quality undoubtedly and possibly better. This GTX 1070 compared to my 1050 ti which is already an awesome card is ridiculously fast and does not take up too much space in my mid tower. I game at 1080p but run everything on ultra. So this card is most likely going to last me for years and years. I really think Zotac is an unsung hero for PC gamers. I love to play video games, it does not matter if I am playing my PlayStation 1, 2, 3 or 4. "PC master race?" I don't subscribe to that camp but my workstation/gaming computer is as such; Everything air cooled and chilly. Asus Prime Z270 Prime-P I7 7700 65W non-k +Intel BXTS15A cooler Corsair Vengeance 2400Mhz Zotac GTX 1070 Samsung Evo 960 Corsair 100R Silent Series Thermaltake 650w Bronze Never had a top tier level card for gaming. I usually go for the budget cards which was a Zotac GTX 1050 Ti a fantastic card for gaming, but I wanted premium. Its nice to have my gtx 1050 ti as a backup in case I need to RMA this which I doubt I will have to. This card sort of needs a metal back plate but since the price was much lower than other 1070's I think that is the reason this card is of noticeably lower cost. I happened to luck out and get this card for $287 being a prime member and getting their credit card+giftcard deal in the right time. It really pays off to be an Amazon Prime Member BIGTIME! Performance is very good. On par with other GTX 1070s. Recommend over the Gigabyte ITX card (see bottom of review for reasoning)I'm not going to get into numbers, but look up at any GTX 1070 and the performance is right there. The size of this guy is fantastic. I have it fitting in a Lian Li TU100b chassis. The dual fans keep the thing running at or around 75c under full load. The Zotac FireStorm software for monitoring and changing settings is pretty good as well. Very easy to understand layout and useful information. Would definitely recommend this over the Gigabyte 1070 ITX. I came from the Gigabyte GTX 970 ITX. Whey they decided to remove most of the ports on the back of that card baffles me. This card has the full array of ports you would expect on a 1070. I use all 3 displayports on 3 x LG 4k 27UD68 displays. Works great. ... show more
