  • Can't stop fans when idle
Style: RTX 2070 Super Mini Pattern Name: Card
Performs just as any other 2070 Super - nothing special about that. The only sub-10" 2070 Super (and 2080/2080 Super) on the market which is what I need for my case so props for that. Removing one start due to inability to stop fans on idle. To be honest, most (if not all) 20-series cards have that but that's a bummer nevertheless. Lowest this card can go is 33% and it is still pretty audible. ... show more

  • Good card in a hard to cool case
Style: RTX 2070 Super Mini Pattern Name: Card
I have this in a node 202, not an easy case to cool as you’ll see. I installed a Corsair 240mm radiator on the outside of the 2 120mm fan slots, the fans are inside as they would be in an unmodified case in the GPU section pulling air through the radiator into the case (hope that makes sense), the radiator is cooling the CPU, i7 9700, I also drilled vent holes in the bottom of the case and put the case on a custom stand (when standing vertically with the GPU on the bottom). My old card was a 1060, it ran in the high 60s to low 70s. I wasn’t sure if a full size 2070 super would fit with the hoses for the radiator so I got the mini version, which is actually shorter than the 1060 I had. When I first installed the card I was hitting the 83 degree target temp and throttling. I adjusted the fan curves on the radiator and video card and was getting around 80 degrees but with a ton of noise. I replaced the Corsair fans with Noctua NF-12a fans, I was able to slow down the fans on the GPU a bit and now I’m getting temps in the mid 70s without a ton of noise, not silent but easily blocked with headphones. The GPU is turboing to 1995mhz without any change from the default settings for the GPU. Overall I’m very happy I can run 3x 1080 monitors with high frame rates. ... show more

  • Blew out motherboard
Style: RTX 2070 Super Mini Pattern Name: Card
PROS: My roommate has the same one let me use it and I loved it. CONS: The one I got from Amazon crashed my game and blew out my motherboard upon gaming T_T. Now I am out a couple a hundred bucks and a lot of time ripping my case apart and installing a new motherboard. Not a happy camper. Just glad it only took the motherboard with it. ... show more

  • Beast of a card
Style: GTX 1070 Mini Pattern Name: Card
If you want to enter the upper range of GPU's without spending 400+ bucks, the Zotac GTX 1070 mini is a phenomenal card. The cooling on this card is fantastic (I know that being a "mini" card, lots of people will want to know how well the fans and heatsinks perform). This card has a beefy heat sink system to it. The fans do an amazing job of cooling the card down after hours of gaming and it getting warm. At idle, temps are staying right around 38 to low 40's C. At first I had an issue where the card was continuously keeping its clocking speeds up for high performance, even at "idle." I think it was possibly due to a BIOS issue. My BIOS seemed to correct itself after installing the Firestorm software that was included with the card. After a couple hours of gaming, with fans either completely off or running at 3%, the card seems to be maxing at around 61 C. And by manually kicking the fans up to 30% using the Firestorm software, the gpu cools down super quickly back down into the 40s, in less than a minute. The fans are barely audible at 30%, and in my opinion, if you're going to game for several hours in a gpu intensive game, I would recommend going ahead and setting your fans to 20-30% as a good method of keeping things nice and cool without having to blast them. I think in auto mode, the fans kick on around 61 C, and at around 3-7% speed. Which, seems to be enough to keep the card hovering at that temperature. The fans are surprisingly quiet at any range on up to 45%-ish, I would say. As for video performance, this card is a beast. Running all games at max settings at 1080p easily at 100 FPS+. Also, as for VR, I downloaded and ran Steam's VR performance test, and I quote the results, "your system is performing well above what is needed for recommended, high quality VR!" Various benchmark tests and "Can I Run It" tests all indicate this gpu is in the 93rd to 97th percentile in video performance. I snagged the zotac gtx 1070 mini at around $333. Just wait around, watch the stock and prices. Sometimes this card dips as low as $329. My only complaint is how this card is shipped. It was shipped to me in just the Zotac box, rather than inside another box with air bubbles. Seems like it could get damaged easily during shipping being shipped out in this minimalistic manner. FPS max settings: 300 fps Day of Defeat: Source 156 fps 7 Days to Die Average 102.5 fps Rise of the Tomb Raider 150 FPS Killing Floor 2 85 fps Killing Floor 1 (server cap) ... show more

  • The 1070 Mini is a Beast!!!
Style: GTX 1070 Mini Pattern Name: Card
So i bought this instead of the Amp or amp extreme edition for a couple of reasons. 1. i have a mid tower case and didnt want to sacrifice space and airflow for fitment of the card. 2. because this card doesn't require 2 8 pin connectors run it. in other words it doesnt require as much power from my PSU to run it. This mini version of the 1070 also doesnt have the cool RGB lighting like other full size versions do. I dont really care about flash. just performance and this really does perform!! i have been able overclock it to over 2.1 Ghz and it never gets loud!!! it a freaking beast for gaming!! i highly recommend this card to anyone who doesnt care about cool lighting effects, wants to save space , or just wants a high performance gpu for less than $400 ... show more

  • Runs all my games at Ultra settings while running cool and quiet
Style: GTX 1070 Mini Pattern Name: Card
I really thought twice about buying this card, being that it is from a smaller company Zotac. What really convinced me was the smaller size. Only 8" in length vs. the 13" of other 1070 cards. After reading as many reviews as I could find, pulled the trigger and bought the Zotac 1070. Have not looked back since! Small size fits the ATX micro boards and smaller cases perfectly. Runs all my games at Ultra settings while running cool and quiet. Could not ask for better performance even with a bigger card. Very happy with this Zotac 1070. Have found a good company to consider when making future purchases. Definitely recommended and would buy again. ... show more
