These babies make 1 cup cubes and if you're like me and have a dual insulated gallon jug these babies keep cold and formed for over a day! Silicon is thicker than your usual 4-6 cube silicon tray. The cover is nice and sturdy and will not let any weird freezer smells get into your precious ice. It's the type of cover that has a rubber (not sure if its rubber or silicon or what) grommet for a tight seal and has 4 edges that snap into place. Since its a cover with these snap on edges I was worried that with alot of use it would wear out and break but it hasn't yet. Bought mine listed at $17 but it's one of the the best ice trays ever made. See if you could get it on sale lol. ... show more

    • Works better than I thought
I wanted one of these for when I make soup and have some leftovers. It freezes the soup well and is pretty easy to get out altho I have to leave it sit on the counter for a couple minutes first. It's thick and well made altho expensive. I might get another if the price drops.

I really like the idea of this. Normally i use old storage containers that fill up my freezer. This item is nice. My only issue was removing the frozen soup from it. I ran it under warm water for a bit and they finally popped out. For the price - they are great. I will continue to use mine.

I'm a home caregiver for our daughter who's now on pureed foods only. I make everything in large batches, then pour into trays to freeze. Removing the cubes takes some work at first, but once you get it down, it's not a problem. Let the frozen tray sit on the counter for a couple minutes helps them pop out easier. ... show more

    • Seals tightly, no spills on the way to the freezer
I bought a similar item in the past but this one works much better. The lid fits nicely and has locks to keep it in place so you avoid having to balance it from sink to freezer. My first one is holding up and working really well so I just ordered another.
