As steated in the title. One of my fears was getting one of the famous faulty 2080 TIs from Nvidia, but well, fear not, the product is already tested and overclocked by Zotac, so it comes ready to rock! Another thing, I am a hardcore watercooler but this time, I wanted to give an opportunity to the built in fans to see how they fared in noise. Man I was awed as I saw this beast of a card rock high end AAA games all in ultra settings like a ghost: no absolute noise at all !!! Amazing ! And for the price ... well ... as my grandpa used to say: "If you want something truly valuable, well IT. WILL. COST. YOU. Period" And damn he was right. I tell you, if you are finally doubtful about buying this monster card and have the money for it, go for it. For me it was worth every penny. Well done Zotac. From my previous 980 Ti (that I had watercooled) to this beast, you have never failed to deliver the best you can give us!

I will be periodically updating this review Initial thoughts after having it for 5 days: Pros: -This triple fan heatsink does wonders. I haven't had the card go above 65*c under load. My old evga 1070 ftw would run around 75*c. - Exactly what you need for 144hz 1440p gaming. I have an Acer predator monitor that does this, and I am finally able to maximize the monitor's potential on many more games vs my old evga 1070 ftw. - DOUBLE+ fps compared to the old 1070! Upgrading to this from the 1070 and below are where you're going to see your bang for buck. I'm getting 90 fps in ark with everything maxed @ 1440p, and that's one of the most graphically intense games out. I'll get higher fps once dlss is enabled in that game. - can upscale to run higher resolutions on smaller monitors with less resolution for improved image quality. I can run witcher 3 in 3620x2036 DSR @ 100 fps with hair works and AA turned off. - RTX/DLSS capabilities - will be able to run pimax 5k+ comfortably (my main reason for upgrading). Once I get one I will update this section. - 5 year warranty - backplate for added stability and better heat radiation Cons: - price (though I managed to get it for 1200). Would've had much more appeal if it sold for even $200 less. - length may be an issue for some. It fit in my thermal core v71 case with plenty of space so I had no issues. - width may be an issue as it is a 2.5 pci slot card. Those looking to sli may be better off with gigabytes aorus waterforce. - at the time of writing the review, there are no rtx/dlss games out to play. This is also partially due to Microsoft not having released their windows 10 October update, so not much of the blame can be placed on nvidia. - not that it looks bad, you'd just expect more for a $1200 card. - doesnt take me out on romantic dates Other thoughts: - only the zotac logo has rgb. This can be a pro or a con. I personally dont mind it since I'm not staring at the card for hours. -firestorm software does what it needs to. I mainly use it to monitor what clocks the card runs up to. I probably wont be overclocking it since I'm happy that it hits around 2000 on stock settings. UPDATE: I have attempted to overclock this card with the firestorm, precision X1, and afterburner programs. The firestorm program gave me a clock boost of 60 mhz, while the other two programs gave me a boost of around 120. I decided to go with 60 mhz and added 500 mhz to the memory clock, with power at the stock setting. The clock played stable in witcher 3 for the 2 hours I played and did a timespy benchmark, and a heaven valley benchmark with no problems. I however ultimately decided to go with stock settings on everything as I want this card to last me the 5 years NVIDIA claims it will on stock settings. - Running it with an 8700k @ 5.0 ghz and 16 gb of 3200 mhz RAM, got a timespy score of 13413.

Fast GPU in games and also fast to die in computer.

Got GPU on a Wednesday and on a Thursday it died after a few hours of gaming. Fastest GPU I have ever used and probably will use for a good bit time but the card has a bad coil whine to it and then died. The card has a black screen of death and after tearing apart my system and testing every part for any issues and even preforming a hard while on OS drive and testing different drivers I have come to say that this GPU just is broken and when ever any power load is put into it the GPU black screens/dies. When I reached out for a possibility to replace the card from Amazon the only option from Zotac through Amazon was just for a refund and nothing else. Safe to say I'm disappointed by the card for dieing like it did but when it was working it ran 80-100fps in 4k ultra so there was that.

This card is the best one I’ve ever used, my old card was a 1060 so it was ok but this is a massive improvement. I’m playing on a 165hz monitor and I get those frames on most of my games, along with its 2K resolution. I’m running on a 2700x and 32GB of ram so I can play any game at least at 70-85fps. It’s 2 months in and I haven’t had any issues, if your worried about it being risky as this card is so expensive I can tell you that yes, people are having issues, but the majority of us are not so I would take the chance but only buy this card if you plan to use it on a refresh rate monitor. Overall this card is 4 stars because when I play games that put it to work I turn the fan up all the way (don’t worry about that it’s ok just don’t have it constantly on, turn it down once you’re off the game) and it gets very loud, like as loud as my AC. But keep in mind when buying this card, it’s an enthusiast gpu, it’s for the big boys. Might not be exactly what you need.

Great card! I have this and a founders edition card as well, in nvlink sli. I put them both on waterblocks and they run amazingly at 2070 boost all the time while never going over 44c. I am using bykski blocks i got for $80 a piece on taobao. Much cheaper than EK and cool just as well. I think the recent failures of the 2080 ti cards is related to the pad placement and the strange goo they used on FE cards for some of the components being cooled by the heatsink. They don't look to be making good contact. This isn't a problem on the zotac amp as everything was making good contact and the heatsink is larger and cools better.

Great Card before "Space Invaders" Artifacting

For the first 2-3 weeks, card ran flawlessly and I was more than happy with the performance. I'm upgrading from a GTX 1080 that was still performing fine, but I could not max out settings and consistently hit 60+ FPS at 1440p. With the 2080ti, I can easily achieve that and way more. The fans are definitely louder than I would like, even at <50%, but I did not have any heat issues like others have reported. I have seen no higher than 61C during marathon gaming sessions. This is according to logs taken by Corsair Link which I set to log temps every 5 seconds. Then, unfortunately, one day while playing Witcher 3, screen froze with the infamous "Space Invaders" characters all over the screen, requiring a hard reset of the system. Tested several other games (Fallout 4, Skyrim, Civ 6, etc.) and all froze within 2-5 minutes of gaming. I was just shy of the first 30 days of ownership, so return/replacement was easy and is already in process with Amazon, but have to wait about a week for them to get new stock. Hopefully nVidia and it's vendors have identified and fixed this known issue and the replacement card won't have the same problem. Pros: - Much faster than the GTX 1080 it replaced. However if you are not gaming at 1440p or higher I wouldn't recommend spending the money -Does not get any hotter than the GTX 1080 it replaced, and in some cases it runs cooler. I use Corsair Link to monitor/log the temps and have compared logs from both cards while playing exactly the same game on exactly the same computer. Cons -Fans are way louder than they should be. -Price. -Quality issues. In fairness to Zotac, I should point out the issue I experienced seems to be across all brands and is likely more an nVidia reference design issue.

Gotta Go Fast

If you are a VR enthusiast or a 4k gamer or high frame 2k gamer there is no better card on the market at this time of review. It cost a lot of cash, but it wipes the floor when it comes to gaming, there are no other cards that can match it. As far as this specific card goes, well its solid, overclocks okay and stays very cool compared to founders. If you are looking for a good 2080 TI this is one for sure, I'd put it in the middle of pack compared to some of the more expensive models now on the market. No RGB and I like that.

Had to get two RMAs because of defective fans

The card performed great, at very good temps.. like 65 degrees under heavy load. However, after a few months one (or more) of the fans started making a very loud crackling/grinding noise. The RMA process is terrible for such an expensive product. They make you pay for shipping to their facility, then 2 or 3 business days AFTER they receive it, they say they received the unit and the RMA process starts, stating it can take up to 30 days from that date. The total turnaround time for my first RMA was 1 month total, from shipping it out to receiving it back. The card worked great again and the sound was gone. Then again after a couple months of use, the sound came back. It wasn't as bad as before, but it was still there, and was louder depending on how fast the fans were spinning. So I sent them an angry email about it and they offered to pay for shipping this time, and they are sending a replacement card now, 3 days after they received it. It was nice of them to pay for the shipping and send a replacement card immediately, but this whole experience has been completely unacceptable. My warranty will expire soon and I'm worried that the same issue will recur. They would not extend the warranty when I asked. I will never recommend Zotac products to anyone. I'm giving this rating an extra star simply because when it is working, the performance and temps are amazing.
