This winch has been great. I put it on a 1997 Nissan pickup to operate a snow plow. It has also come in handy for many other things. I moved a 10x15 shed across my yard and pulled some broken fence posts from the ground to name a few. I have not used it to recover my vehicle although I'm sure it could especially if I double the line. It fit my needs and for a good price. The wireless remote is very useful. I can stand out of harms way and get a good view of what I am winching. Plus I don't have a wire running through the window when I'm plowing like with my old winch.

Winch appears to be well made 6000# version. Took a while to figure out the remote, instructions on Amazon were not correct, nothing in manual about remote. The manual is worthless and you are left to figure it out.

Works excellent for loading my 1/2 ton truck on a uhaul car hauler to bring it home. I have a double hitch mount and had the trailer on the lower hitch and this winch in the upper while pulling the truck onto the trailer. I added battery clamps to hook it up for use. I used the remote to pull it while steering the truck exactly onto the trailer. Nice long range for the remote.
