ZOSI HDMI 8CH 960H H.264 DVR with 500GB HDD Smartphone View 4x 800TVL Outdoor/Indoor Waterproof Bullet Night Vision Security camera with IR cut System(metal case) I bought this system a few days ago. Great price for what you receive! So far, no failures. That said, I am a very technically savvy user and this system is anything but easy to set up and use! The documentation is, well, difficult at best, to follow in English. If you plan on placing the DVR out of the way and using the Web interface from a PC to configure, monitor, and play back, be prepared to not be happy! The web interface can ONLY be accessed by IE, not Chrome, not Firefox, not MS Edge, ONLY Internet Explorer! You must launch IE as an Administrator for it to work properly. To top it all off, it literally takes 3-5 minutes to get the log in screen to load. That is NOT an exaggeration. Once it finally loads, performance is only marginally better. Moving from page to page can often cause you to loose access and you will have to start over again. Seriously, this is cumbersome, but not impossible to work with. Your best bet is to connect a monitor and mouse to it and use it that way. I have verified I am running the latest Firmware version available for it from their website: 1.1.5. When viewed from an attached monitor, that is what is displayed. When viewed from the Web interface, it still shows firmware version 1.0.0. So there is obviously some room for improvement in their software/firmware. The image quality of the cameras is nice, but time will tell if these cameras will last. Does this system work? Yes. Is this system great? Ehh, so so. Would I buy it again? Probably not. It all boils down to, you get what you pay for. Update 7/28/2016: After sale Support replied to my e-mail very quickly. They included a link to a new version of iVSS that runs perfectly under Windows 8 and 10! I can now quickly and reliably connect, configure, control and view the cameras and DVR. This is a LOT BETTER!! Armed with this, you can easily control the system from anywhere on your network. This should be available to all users in the package when delivered!

I first purchased this system in November 2023. While the picture quality Is exceptional, the system is very glitchy and requires a lot of patience. For the entire year that I've owned this system, every few days a camera would go offline and require you to restart the system multiple times. The cameras ALWAYS GO OFFLINE. The Zosi smart app is the absolute worst thing known to man. It takes forever for the camera to load up, the app crashes if you playback footage for more than 5 minutes or if you configure any settings through the app. Once the app crashes, the system disconnects from the app and you're requires to link the NVR, cameras and app together again. Alas, a year later October 2024, two cameras are completely non operational and I must now decide between purchasing two individual cameras while keeping the same glitchy system, or spend more money on an entirely new system. Money wasted, I do not recommend anyone purchasing this device. The picture quality is great though, so I'll give 1 staron count of the great quality video.

I work in security so I had realistic expectations of a system is this price range. So far it is working within expected parameters. I have only had it installed for a short period of time though so time will tell. I expect to add more cameras in order to cover the rest of my property but I wanted something basic to test out the system. So far this Zos i system has done well. I haven't had time to check into the client, but I suspect it is somewhat weak from the time I've spent with it. In general terms it was shipped in appropriate packaging and worked when it arrived. I'd like beter cameras to see if the DVR can handle them well, and will add them in the future. Currently I have no complaints with the current system.

This system does come with a hard drive built in ready for recording unlike some other brands. It is pretty much plug and play with the exception of the app for mobile viewing. I could not figure out how to connect the system to WiFi and it’s too far away to plug in my Ethernet cable so I am strictly using it for recording playback. Pros: Inexpensive 4 cameras Built in hard drive No computer needed Plug and play EASY system configuration Cons: No left or right tilt for the cameras just up and down. Short cable from camera to plug(into 60ft) that goes to dvr.

I'd prefer them not to send any screws or anchors so that i didn't waste my time trying to use them. I eneded up with extra holes from the failed ties and having to make a drive to home depot with all my stuff scattered to buy working drywall anchors for less then $3.00. BUT the system was easy to install and use. And the video quality is very good for the price. Its the little stuff that get you in life 3 stars for the trash anchors and screws. BTW the mounting plate is plastic and feels cheap, the screw provided can actually easily widen the hole and be useless with just a slight over tightening.
