This bed was very easy to put together. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. It took me about an hour to put it together. The only frustrating part was having to use the Allen wrench to put the hardware in. Many times, the Allen wrench hit the rails or other parts of the bed that were in tight spots, but nevertheless, I got it done. It does not need a box spring. The box was in rough shape, so I was worried, but there was only some minor damage to the front middle of the headboard. Also, the two wooden legs were missing, so I had to run to the hardware store to buy some legs or I wouldn’t have been able to put it together and use it. It did come out beautifully and it seems very sturdy. I have a pretty thick mattress so the headboard doesn’t look very high, but I love it. It was easy to put together, I did it by myself. The media could not be loaded. such nice and sturdy bed, i’m on the heavier, plus size side and this bed is so cozy and comfy!! i sleep like a CHARM. Also, not to mention this bed came fast. All peices were included and was complet. HOWEVER, the height of this bed is short, so if you were wanting a headboard that was taller. This is not the one for you. I wish I didn't waste $250, slept on it 2 nights and it gave me back and shoulder pain due to its instability and cheap materials. Thin wooden panels that broke as soon as I laid on bed, put metal core support bended over. If I can give zero review I would. Please don't waste your money on this trash ... show more

Visually, this is a really attractive piece! However, it is loud and creaks when you move on it. I am 5'2 , 56 and of average weight and I am the only one sleeping one the bed. I can so much as roll over or move a little just to sit up a bit and the frame very loud with the slightest movement. Also, I have a dog and a cat. I have them groomed biweekly and this material really grabs onto their hair. Very hard to vacuum it off. Gets really stuck in it. I ended up giving it away on Facebook marketplace. ... show more
