We bought this very low (4 inch) CA King platform bed for our aging Italian Greyhound, whose diminished eyesight was making it difficult for him to jump on and off our bed (of course he sleeps with us!). My husband spent a little over an hour assembling it. Instructions were easy to follow, and though he wouldn't want to do it again anytime soon, it wasn't difficult. Platform seems sturdy and is right size to accomodate our CA King mattress. Price was right, too. And when our little man passes to Doggie Heaven, we can always add box springs to raise the bed to a more human-friendly height.

Received this frame quickly. We purchased it because our elderly pup can’t jump up in bed anymore so we wanted to lower our mattress for her. This frame was super easy to assemble and was put together in less than 30 minutes with power tools. Instructions were very easy to understand and made it easy to assemble. Frame is very sturdy and worth the money. Parts fit together nicely and all holes lined up like the should.

The box for this is small, as the frame is densely packed inside. The packaging is protective, using only sheet plastic and a very small amount of foam. Unboxing was easy and very clean. The quality of the frame is good, however be careful during assembly, as the screws provided are the usual very poor quality (cheap!) metal. Any use of a power tool is likely to strip the simple hex head, so use the included Allen wrench instead. It's small, but will work without causing damage; work gloves will help. There are 8 through-bolts which require a nut with an embedded lock-washer, but the very small wrench provided for this task is completely useless. I used a socket wrench instead, getting it done easily. Note one feature of this frame: since it is designed so that it can be used without a box spring, it does *not* have the typical vertical side rails that "lock" the box spring in place on the frame. If you feel you need those, choose another frame. Minus 1 star for the poor quality screws, very common with products from China.

This item is very well made. Sturdy, nice coating, I'll give it a 10! Except a design flaw .. Everytime you get near the bed . The legs of the foundation are place to wear you hit your foot every stinking time . We are going to put some kind of wooden skirt around it. We will probably still hit it, but hopefully won't rip off toes anymore 🤞 😫
