I got this, last year, to use in some of my plants. I've actually gotten it a few times. You don't get much but, it is so clean! It is so soft!! It holds up incredibly well and stays damp for a long time but, no mold! I needed to make moss poles so, this was WAY too expensive. I went with a brand marketed for plants, specifically orchids. It was on the recommendation of a friend who grows houseplants to sell. While it's a substantial amount for about $6, it was completely full of sticks and such!! I hate it! So! I'm coming back to this. I won't be making poles with it but, it's PERFECT for doing a moss and chunky perlite mix, in small, clear pots for my baby/young airoids and alocasia corms!! I do have snakes. If I needed moss for them, I'd get this in a second!! I only wish this came in much a bigger amount. ... show more

Bigger box than I expected and is half the price on here vs the local pet stores. Got this for my ball python as well as my bold jumping spider...and still have half a box left over! I soaked the moss for about 10-15 mins, squeezed and plopped into their enclosures. One of the better moss varieties out there, especially for use with animals. No fake coloring or funky smell. Quality is good but the box is fulled with loose moss, not compressed, giving the illusion that you're getting more than you think. The added photo is actually 4 boxes, rehydrated. Quality moss is very hard to find in stock anywhere now, so still a good buy, but expect to pay a premium for this kind of quality. ... show more

My Philodendron Propagations are doing so well in this Long Strand New Zealand Moss … I am super thrilled I bought it . This has been a great moss. I bought this to put in my leopard geckos rock hide. He was having a hard time shedding but since buying this he goes inside and hangs out for days at a time.
