Mixed with spagnum and eco-earth to create substrate, works well and doesn’t mold

    • Awesome for my snakes terrarium!
Size: 4 QT
Bought this moss cause first off it has more quantity comparing to the ones pet stores around my area carry. Not only is it a perfect amount for my 40 gal zoo med bio active terrarium but I love the texture of it as well!! It is easy to break apart, it really helps when it comes to holding moisture for plants on just tank it self, no mold growth but that’s because I have springtails and isopods to help with that. Anyway I really recommend this product, my ball python appreciates it so much😁 ... show more

    • Great moss, gets really soft when moist and our leopard geckos really love this stuff
Size: 4 QT
I really love this moss for our leopard geckos, especially in their humid hides to help them shed, once the moss gets a little damp from humidity and warmth its so soft and aromatic, it has a bit of a musty smell but that's what moist moss should smell like, our leopard geckos love to lay in this moss when they are getting ready to shed and they spend a few days in it before and after their sheds, it's a lot softer and more comfortable on her skin then other moss we've used, the stuff we used before is a big name brand product so it's not like we were buying cheap and off brands of moss, but this stuff turns so soft once it's moist and even when it dries it isn't hard and scratchy like the other stuff is, and we seemed to get a lot more for the same price of the name brand stuff so it will last a lot longer before we run out. If you want to try a new brand of moss that is really good premium moss then this stuff is great, and it's from the Galápagos Islands where the aquatic iguanas live and eat this stuff so if your lizard accidentally ingests a little it shouldn't harm them... it's a premium moss from a very cool place that has the only aquatic iguanas on the planet, so that alone makes it a neat product ... show more

    • great for how i wanted to use it
Size: 4 QT
i am building a house for miniature garden gnomes and wanted this to glue to the outside of the house to give it a rustic look. it worked great. that being said, two complaints: i used to use this for my green anole several years ago, and it is different now. as other reviewers have noted, this moss is dyed. i would no longer use it for my reptiles. also, it seems to be lower quality than before. sticks and dirt stuck in the moss, i ended up throwing away about a fifth of each bag. and it has a bad smell. so yeah, i would never use this in a reptile tank again, and it's gotten kind of expensive considering how little is in each bag. but for craft purposes it is great. ... show more

    • Great quality
Size: 4 QT
This fresh moss was perfect for my snake's terrarium! I think she loved having it because I often found her sleeping on it. It lasts a long time and helped keep the humidity high. I would definitely buy more!

Size: 4 QT
works great in my tarantula enclosures.. adds a nice green color. I also use it for some of my Isopods as a moisture gradient. Works well.

    • Color bleeds
Size: 4 QT
Ehhh… the product is fine, but after using it I noticed my snake’s belly was turning yellow. Immediately switched to a natural/tan sphagnum moss and the yellow coloring faded. I like the green, but since it bleeds its a no from me.
