The Logitech Folio Touch iPad Keyboard case...really fills the bill. First, it is compatible with my iPad Pro (m1)and the keyboard sports more features than the one Apple sells as this one has variable lighted keys and the track pad is positive, responsive and a welcome addition. I have taken my time in writing this review as I often see folks who have had something for a day or two writing rave reviews. Well, I have been using this now for many months and can say that it works quite well and is near half the price of what Apple sells for the iPad. The keys of the keyboard have a good "feel" and there is key movement that most people who type like. The fit is good and the case, while heavy is certainly sturdy and it offers good protection to the iPad. I have taken this to Europe with me and traveled around with it. As I said, it is a bit heavy, but far lighter that carrying my laptop. It runs on the iPads internal power and uses very little power. The battery life for the day appears unaffected as I always have reserve when it goes on the charger at night. Logitech is a good company that makes quality merchandise. When I replace my iPad, I will likely buy another Logitech case,keyboard for it.

iPad pro11, Really like this tablet!! Magnetic is strong. Opens nice and closes Good!! sturdy !! Like key pad Did- like new soo only 90 days. Saved 50 bucks. Hope holds up. Purse. love the fact that my son is 61 and his body. You can see in the picture that it comes down below or by your hips. And you can adjust the strap., there is an outside zipper pocket that is the same as the inside zipper pocket, which is about 3/4 of the size of the purse. There is an outside pouch pocket that does not zip up, but that would be a good place to put your keys or something so it’s easy access there’s two pouches to hold a phone, one on the outside one on the inside my phone is in a case and it’s an iPhone 13 Pro and you have a bout probably a fourth of an inch more so you might be able to get the iPhone 13 promax. So there is a total of three zipper pouches, two phone pouches, and one open good size pouch and I like the fact that my tablet fits in there that’s what I got it for. Perfect person looks beautiful. Hope it holds up to my tablet use!! Will update info in 3-12 months to see how it’s held up Pen like. Don’t know if it draws. But the soft part does.

The is my second folio case. I had the first one for two years until the keyboard started disconnecting sporadically. While the first one worked it was perfect. Note there are wires going through the hinge connecting the keyboard to the part of the case enclosing the iPad. The way I use the case, this hinge was bent several times during the day. Obviously this continual bending compromised one of the wires. This is why I took one star off. Update 9/1/2024 My second folio case just failed like the first. This one was a bit flakey when it worked. Specifically, when the keyboard was folded out of the way, the soft one would not always appear. NOTE: I am a very heavy user of the keyboard. PROS - The keyboard is excellent. Nice feel. During the last year I wrote 1,500-2,000 words a day with no complaints. - The case does a great job protecting the keyboard. - For me this case was a better choice than the Touch with the detachable keyboard which I had before this case. With the Touch, the keyboard always seemed to be detached when I needed it. - I love the IOS keys and use them all the time. The Apple keyboard does not have them. - Having a roe of function keys is also nice - Nice holder for Apple Pencil CONS - As mentioned above with heavy bending of the hinge the life span maybe only two years - The case is a little heavy although I really don’t notice the weight.

I bought this product because being a student I couldn’t afford a magic keyboard but I still wanted a good keyboard case. This case checks off everything i wanted. In my personal opinion it feels nice to type on, has a satisfying sound, and the back light is actually really good. The light can be adjusted too so if you are pulling off a late night study session, you can see the keys but you’re not blinding yourself. I’m pretty sure it has all the features of the magic keyboard minus the usb-c pass through but personally, that’s not much of a problem for me. It feels good to hold but it does have a bit of weight which I personally also like. It just feels strong and sturdy. It’s also really nice it just connects to the smart connector which I know will be a life saver coming up. The shortcuts are all pretty easy to figure out, you just use the same motions for the screen on the trackpad. For example, if you want to go between windows, three fingers to the left or right. It would have been nice if they included some sort of paper though, with instructions so you know the full extent of what you can do. My only complaint is with the Logitech Crayon holder. As far as I knew I thought it could be used with both an Apple Pencil and a Logitech Crayon. However, I find it hard to store my Pencil there. To be fair though, I do have a silicon case on it and that might be the reason so I didn’t deduct any points. In conclusion, this is one of the best cases I have ever bought and would definitely recommend it. It has style points, it has functional points, and usability points as well. If you are a student looking to save some money but still want a good keyboard case, this is it. Trust me, you are missing out on barely anything except having 2 usb-c ports. This is for the iPad Pro not the iPad Air, any reviews stating incompatible with TouchID are people who purchased the wrong version. Anyway, I love this thing. - It fits great and adds good protection - Buttons are all easy to press (some reviews mentioned they aren't, i dont find that to be the case) - Trackpad is surprisingly good, better than a lot of laptops. Using multi finger gestures feels great and natural - Keyboard is surprisingly sturdy and also better than a lot of laptop keyboards I used (it's better than the junk keyboard on my 2017 macbook pro even). It's quiet and pretty nice to type on. If you're the type of person who will rarely remove the iPad from the case then this is great since you can fold the keyboard all the way back and still use the ipad as a tablet, and can fold it back and keep it as a media consumption device. This is a very solid offering and the typing experience is definitely on par with the magic keyboard (which isn't great tbh, but for a laptop keyboard it's "good"). The addition of function keys and extra protection make this a no-brainer for a lot of people. Only complaint is I'd like to see it in black or a darker gray, but that's personal preference.

I love this case! The size and weight are good. The keyboard is surprisingly comfortable and while it adds thickness the extra weight is worth it. And the case folds completely back so you can write on the iPad on a desk I really appreciate the closing strap. It secures the pencil and folds out of the way with a magnet so it is never in the way I’ve tried other cases, folios, and keyboards. This is by far my favorite for ease of use, protection, and typing I haven’t tried the Magic Keyboard but can’t imagine it is any better at twice the price. And this keyboard has function keys! NOTE: I gave five stars for Bluetooth to improve the rating. However, this case connects with the Smart Connector. That means no pairing, nearly instant connection, and it charges thru the connection so you never have to charge the case In short, other than the pencil this is by far the best purchase I’ve made for the iPad

I used the apple keyboard for about 2.5 years and switched to this one, here is my comparison. -Price - this one wins hands down -Size/portability - the apple keyboard wins hands down, much thinner -Pencil/stylus - the apple keyboard does not secure the Apply pencil and it can be just knocked off. This one has a strap that secures it. I love that. I used to just leave my pencil in my tablet pocket of my bag so it wouldn’t get lost and almost never used it and it was always dead when I tried. Using it much more now and it’s always charged. -Keyboard/functionality. They both are similar. This one has tactile (slightly clicky, but not annoyingly clicky) keys and the apple keyboard is more of a membrane keyboard. I prefer this one better for typing but that comes down to personal preference. Where this one pulls ahead is the fact that it has a touchpad and the apple keyboard does not, and the function keys along the top that give you quick access to screen brightness, media controls, search, volume, etc. The only drawback on this front is that the “Lock Screen” button is directly above the backspace key. I’ve inadvertently locked the iPad in the middle of typing something (including this review). I am training myself but it is still slightly annoying. Durability - tough call on this one because I’ve only had it a month or so. I switched from my apple keyboard because one of my most used keys (arrow key) bottom left was starting to fail frequently and the edges of the cover were fraying badly. I got 2.5 years of HEAVY use out of it though. This one feels sturdier and is thicker overall so I believe it will last just as long if not longer, but I have no way of knowing that it will. No verdict from me on this one just my impressions. The apple one was constantly disconnecting and getting bad signals from the connectors in the back of the iPad. So much so I would have to literally reboot my iPad to get it to work sometimes. Again, it was after a long time of heavy use but my previous apple keyboard on my previous iPad did the same thing. Then I was stuck with just a really expensive case. -Lap use/tray/table use - If you have a full table with plenty of space (about 1.5-2 feet) this one is just fine and more comfortable. However compared to the apple keyboard, this one is not nearly as convenient on the lap. I could balance the apple keyboard on my lap or an airline table tray just fine and it worked a lot better. This one is much more awkward than the apple keyboard to balance on your lap and just doesn’t fit well on an airline tray table. You can do it, it’s just a balancing act the whole time. Nod to apple keyboard in this category. Overall if you can deal with the lap use and airline tray table use awkwardness of this model, the fact that is much cheaper and has way better features than the apple keyboard, I would personally get this one.

*Entire review written on the Logitech Folio Touch* Earlier in 2020 when Apple announced the iPad Pro 2020 models with a surprise announcement of the Magic Keyboard accessory-the tech community went nuts. The Magic Keyboard was backlit, magnetically (and magically) connected to the iPad Pro, and had a floating “cantilever” design. I was hyped myself and was down to get one...until I saw the pricing. $300 starting price and $349 for the 12.9” iPad Pro was a bit much even for me as a fan of Apple products. Upon further research I found out that the Magic Keyboard had limited viewing angles and had to be removed from the case if you wanted to draw with it flat down with an Apple Pencil. With all of this in mind I searched the internet for a cheaper and more versatile alternative...which led me to Logitech’s Folio Touch. Benefits to this over the Magic Keyboard: -Case can be kept on without constantly being removed -A row of function keys that are not present on the Magic Keyboard -Edge to edge protection which is not found on the Magic Keyboard -Same drivers and gestures for the trackpad as the Magic Keyboard -Almost half the price of the Magic Keyboard at $160 vs $300+ -Uses the same Smart Connector that Apple uses so no need to charge or sync the keyboard (Logitech worked closely with Apple on this product) Cons: -Not as sleek as the Magic Keyboard aesthetically -No extra USB-C charging port like the Magic Keyboard -The recessed casing makes it hard to use some USB-C accessories -Only for the 11” iPad Pro or 2020 iPad Air All in all this keyboard is excellent at about half the price of the Magic Keyboard as it offers superior protection, a row of function keys, same trackpad gestures, backlit keys, a strap to secure the Apple Pencil or Logitech Crayon, a mode for tablet use or drawing use without removing the case + protection, and firmware updates via Logitech’s Keyboard Control application. Little details like the keyboard deactivating when folded back and the strap being magnetically kept out of the way makes this keyboard a good value compared to the Magic Keyboard especially at this price point.
