  • Extremely useful for a student like me!
I bought this product because being a student I couldn’t afford a magic keyboard but I still wanted a good keyboard case. This case checks off everything i wanted. In my personal opinion it feels nice to type on, has a satisfying sound, and the back light is actually really good. The light can be adjusted too so if you are pulling off a late night study session, you can see the keys but you’re not blinding yourself. I’m pretty sure it has all the features of the magic keyboard minus the usb-c pass through but personally, that’s not much of a problem for me. It feels good to hold but it does have a bit of weight which I personally also like. It just feels strong and sturdy. It’s also really nice it just connects to the smart connector which I know will be a life saver coming up. The shortcuts are all pretty easy to figure out, you just use the same motions for the screen on the trackpad. For example, if you want to go between windows, three fingers to the left or right. It would have been nice if they included some sort of paper though, with instructions so you know the full extent of what you can do. My only complaint is with the Logitech Crayon holder. As far as I knew I thought it could be used with both an Apple Pencil and a Logitech Crayon. However, I find it hard to store my Pencil there. To be fair though, I do have a silicon case on it and that might be the reason so I didn’t deduct any points. In conclusion, this is one of the best cases I have ever bought and would definitely recommend it. It has style points, it has functional points, and usability points as well. If you are a student looking to save some money but still want a good keyboard case, this is it. Trust me, you are missing out on barely anything except having 2 usb-c ports. Thank you for reading, hopefully you have a good idea about this case now. ... show more

  • I love this keyboard/case
The Logitech Folio Touch iPad Keyboard case...really fills the bill. First, it is compatible with my iPad Pro (m1)and the keyboard sports more features than the one Apple sells as this one has variable lighted keys and the track pad is positive, responsive and a welcome addition. I have taken my time in writing this review as I often see folks who have had something for a day or two writing rave reviews. Well, I have been using this now for many months and can say that it works quite well and is near half the price of what Apple sells for the iPad. The keys of the keyboard have a good "feel" and there is key movement that most people who type like. The fit is good and the case, while heavy is certainly sturdy and it offers good protection to the iPad. I have taken this to Europe with me and traveled around with it. As I said, it is a bit heavy, but far lighter that carrying my laptop. It runs on the iPads internal power and uses very little power. The battery life for the day appears unaffected as I always have reserve when it goes on the charger at night. Logitech is a good company that makes quality merchandise. When I replace my iPad, I will likely buy another Logitech case, keyboard for it. ... show more

  • This thing is hellishly heavy; but the rest is near perfection.
I’m moving to the Logitech Folio Touch from an Apple Smart Keyboard Folio, so some of my review will be colored by that. The Bad First, the elephant in the room. The Logitech Folio Touch is HEAVY. Almost hellishly so. I’m pretty sure it weighs more than my iPad itself, and brings the combined weight into near-laptop territory. Given how pleased I am with almost every other aspect of the Logitech, I’ll accept the weight, but if you’re at all sensitive to that, you may want to think twice about buying this unit. Also, when you first connect the keyboard it prompts you to install an app which in turn updates the keyboard firmware. Now pay close attention: the app warns you to NOT INTERRUPT the update process, and it MEANS IT. DO NOT DO IT! I inadvertently hit the lock button on the keyboard, putting the iPad to sleep in the middle of the update, and when the update finished the trackpad no longer worked. It took me thirty seconds to discover this has been a common complaint, a half an hour to track down the fix, and then well over an hour trying to get the solution to work. Everything’s fine now, but I was not a happy camper during those couple of hours. For the weight, and the whole firmware update experience I’m knocking one star off my rating. Everything else about this keyboard has been wonderful. The Good Pretty much everything else, starting with the price. The Logitech set me back about half the price of the Apple keyboard, despite being at least as good. Apple should be embarrassed. The Case The case is very solid and feels like it will go a long way toward protecting my iPad from bending (which *can* be a problem), though this undoubtedly contributes to the keyboard’s weight. Trade-offs. It offers full coverage, which means side and drop protection. However, if I want to hold the iPad without the case (which, given the weight of the case, is fairly often) it takes effort to remove it, unlike the Apple keyboard which is just held on magnetically. Logitech has taken its design cues from the Microsoft Surface, with a stand that folds out from the back of the case. In contradistinction to the Apple keyboard, this both offers the advantage of infinitely adjustable viewing angles and lap use. However, the hinge mechanism is quite stiff and requires two hands to manipulate. Physically, I’m very impressed with the build quality. The cloth-like cover material, in addition to being very stylish, and despite apparent susceptibility to some scuffing, hides dirt and other marks well, and is much more durable than the silicone-whatever material the Apple keyboard uses, which wrinkles and flakes within months. The Keyboard The typing quality is also quite good, though the keys are just a wee bit too stiff for my typing style — I find I have to hit them heavier than is my wont, which slows me down somewhat. The keyboard makes use of the Apple smart connector (I read Logitech engineers worked closely with Apple on this to get it right). Which means no battery, so the keyboard doesn’t need to be charged. It also means, for example, no Bluetooth lag. And the trackpad can take full advantage of the smart connector to supply the full range of gestures, from two-, three- and four-fingered tapping and swiping to pinching and zooming. Can’t do any of that with a Bluetooth mouse. Unlike Apple, Logitech provides a full row of function keys to control volume and brightness, lock/unlock, and so forth. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d find these useful, since I never use them on my desktop. But they’re turning out to be much more useful than I’d imagined. And the keyboard is backlit. As a touch typist, I don’t generally need to see the keys, but I love it just for the eye candy. I find myself typing in the dark just so I can turn on the The keyboard folds fully backward (and deactivates) to get out of the way when you just want to, say, view a movie, which is convenient. Logitech provides some basic modifier key programming (e.g., swapping Ctrl and CapsLk). But this begs the question of more full-featured programmability. Imagine being able to reprogram the function keys, or keyboard shortcut macros. Perhaps a future firmware update will give us this. The Apple Pencil One of my biggest complaints about the Apple keyboard is that it provides no protection for the Apple Pencil. The Pencil just sits naked on top, where it is prone to being knocked off. As a result, I had to store the pencil separately (so it’s not charging), and then go hunting for it when I needed it. Not terribly convenient. The Folio Touch provides protection via a flap, so I can conveniently leave my pencil on top of the iPad. The one drawback here is that the flap only engages when the case is closed, so that if, for example, I’m holding my iPad vertically my hand rests directly on the pencil and can tend to pull it off. Summary Despite some shortcomings, the Logitech Folio Touch has a lot going for it. Logitech makes some of the best accessories on the market, and this is no exception. I especially appreciate the touchpad, Apple Pencil protection and, for eye appeal, the backlit keyboard. I think I’ve found my daily driver. ... show more

  • Great iPad Pro Case!
I love this case! I usually buy cheaper cases, but I needed more functionality so I wanted one with a track pad and keyboard. It's made of a nice plastic and fabric cover, it feels sturdy and made with good quality materials. It does add some weight, I won't be holding this up one handed anytime soon, but I mainly use it on the couch so that isn't a problem. The keyboard and trackpad work nicely, I love the backlighting, and they deactivate when you flip it backwards. It's really easy to use it to type up a quick email then flip it around to browse/watch movies/etc. The stand offers several angles, and I can always find a good spot no matter how I'm sitting. One of my favorite things is that the volume buttons are a + and - symbol. No trying to remember which one does which, I can easily feel it with my finger! Hopefully this case will be with me for years to come. ... show more
