  • Suitable for shielded ethernet cable install, accommodates the common range of wire gauges
Size: 6 Pcs
The ZOERAX 6 Pcs Cat6a Cat7 Keystone Jack Cat7 RJ45 STP Tool-Less Type Zinc Alloy Module Jacks are suitable for shielded (STP) ethernet cable installations. The Zoerax listing states the connector accommodates 22 to 26 AWG Solid or Stranded wire. It came with the connectors individually packaged in resealable baggies along with a small zip tie for the completed ethernet cable connection. Note this was a requested and sent for free product for review. The construction of the connector is similar to other manufacturers of these types of ethernet wiring connectors, specifically the shielded (STP) type. Although manufacturers of this design style claim the connectors are toolless, they are not really if you want to make sure you have a solid connection that is neat and won't "short out" (where badly trimmed wires touch the the metal casing and can make an electrical interference or non-working connection in a POE or shielded ethernet setup)--you should always trim the wires flush with wire cutters to the plastic insert after clamping the plastic pieces together and before closing the metal casing around everything. The good about the this CAT7 connector: it is "backwards" compatible to CAT6A, CAT6, CAT5E, CAT5; the overall connector is not a wide body which makes installing connectors side by side easier; The whole connector is machined/milled nicely with no rough or uncut pieces and edges; the plastic removable insert is labeled with a wire color diagram scheme (T568-A or T568-B labels) that is screen printed on and not a label that can delaminate from the plastic; the connector can be reused/re-wired. The not so good: the wire color diagram scheme (T568-A or T568-B labels) that is screen printed on on the little plastic insert needs to have more distinct color difference between brown and orange because they are very similar to each other (though you really should use a separate sheet with the T568-A or T568-B diagram fore reference and to be consistent with your wiring of the connector). The iffy: the white plastic tab design is probably to minimize the cost of the amount of plastic used but is maybe a weak point if you have to remove the connector from a plate or plan to reuse the connector multiple times and depress the tab too many times. The connectors are not too much bigger/longer than other (CAT6) connectors I had (see photo 5 with CAT6 connectors on the right and those connectors are different from each other even though they are from the same popular MP company with the same part numbers purchased together at the same time). Overall, I rate it 4.5 star as these are decent connectors for shielded ethernet installation. ... show more

  • Great quality
Size: 6 Pcs
Really good. I dont have the special tool to push these done but do have other clamping tools that i got to work. The quality is top notch and the fit is nice and tight so no wiggle room in the connection. Perfect.

  • Quality hardware and good speed
Size: 6 Pcs
First of all, these keystone jacks are durable, smooth and good looking. Installation is easy but necessary tool-less since you do have to trim off the excess wires. Without trimming the excess wire, you cannot push down the cap. Once cable is trimmed and push down, locking the case does appear to secure the wires in place with secure connection. However, the keystone jack lacks label for the orientation and you will have to try to figure out the pinout initially. It does provide good network connection and I was able to achieve at about 90-100MB/s transfer using this connector, limit of my gigabit network switch and NIC card speed. ... show more

  • 10/10 recommend
Size: 12 Pcs
Easy to make patch cables. Cast aluminum housing so it does transfer shielding very well. A couple of minutes spent on each cable end made.

  • Provides a solid connection
Size: 6 Pcs
The ZOERAX 6 Pcs Cat6a Cat7 Keystone Jack Cat7 RJ45 STP Tool-Less Type Zinc Alloy Module Jacks require a bit of finesse to get the shield and conductors all neatly assembled in the connector. But once Accomplished they provide a well shielded Cat7 cable end.

  • I Like These, But What Do I Know?
Size: 6 Pcs
I ordered these feeling inspired by the product's claimed advantages, and looking forward to using them. However, upon looking into them in more detail, and particularly after reading the first critical review that was posted here, I realize I am not properly qualified to offer any of you insights on these. While they seem to be good quality to me compared to the keystone jacks I have used in the past, I'm not an expert. Another reviewer said, "I'm not confident the shield connection will be reliable." Honestly, that made me realize I simply don't know. Giving a neutral rating between the other 2 existing reviews. ... show more
