Had to run ethernet throughout my whole house for my security cameras. I figured it would be much easier to not get premade cable. This cable is really good quality. The casing is fairly heavy so it's durable. The wire is solid not stranded. Not sure what the centerpiece is called but has a plastic plus sign to keep strands separated. I know these two things don't have anything to do with this particular cable... But I wish these manufacturers would just run the correct pairing side by side so you didn't have to untwist the colored pairs and try to get them straight, try them to get the correct order next to each other and then put them into the termination. I wish they made them flat so again it would make them easier to place into the termination. Overall it was very pleased and this cable was easy to work with. I probably could have got away with the 500 ft box but better to have too much then not enough at this price DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. This company cannot even understand their own accounts. For instance, Telling me I made a payment on a certain date and then a full refund from Amazon after that was paid to them and then they say that I still owe them more money. I said, you literally just said you got a full refund from Amazon. So how can I owe you money if you received a refund? This is the sixth time on multiple accounts in the past 3 months that I've had problems with them not keeping the account straight. You might think it's nice to be able to break down payments on Amazon but you're asking for trouble. Not only are there interest rates absurd at 36% but they also are hitting your credit report with wrong information. And then you have to dispute it with the credit reporting agency. It's another headache. India call centers are terrible at understanding things and are working from home so there's tons of background noise such as banging or kids. It good quality cable. It's thick and I have no complaints about the reliability. However, I would not recommend this for the average home user for the following reasons: 1. It has a plastic support core. It gets in the way when terminating and most novice users are going to scream at it. It can be difficult for an inexperienced person to jam that into a jack. Support cores are not needed for home applications or short runs. 2. The inner wires are thick and stiff as heck! They are resistant to holding shape when aligning wire order for termination. Anyone who has tried to keep wire order when terminating knows how annoying it is that have wires that want to move our of order. I have terminated more wire than I can count but even I got annoyed by it. For pro use, it's great. It;s tough cable, the colors are bright, and easier to identify. Sure, the white stripped wires can still get confused with each other but at least it's not that poor quality rubbery junk with shiny colors you often find with some cable. Plus most pro's are probably going to use keystone modules, which makes termination a snap. It pulls through walls and ceilings decently and resists tangles very well. ... show more

Purchase a couple of boxes @ 1000ft back in 2022. It's been about three years so far pretty good. I'd like to note that I wasn't aware that CCA Cat6 was a thing, didn't even realize what it was until AFTER my purchase. I have about 35 runs all under about 50 feet each, 12 of these runs are for my Unifi Protect cameras. 1 ea AI camera (PoE+) and the other are 2k (PoE) and two Unifi Access Points (PoE). Haven't had any major issues with my runs and the wire was without kinks. Network connections have been pretty fast without speed issues, I was also careful about where my runs traversed through my home attic space. Doing the runs initially was a pain since my home is two floors but I would say it was worth it. Ive since read about the dangers of using CCA low Cat6 and will require my runs with solid copper if I have any issues. All my runs terminate to a network rack no kinks or bends... I can say that so far for my need the cabling is holding up well after three years. ... show more

I had high hopes for this Dripstone CAT6 1000ft bulk cable, especially given the advertised specs and affordability. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The biggest issue is the use of CCA (Copper-Clad Aluminum) instead of pure copper. While technically within CAT6 standards, CCA is far less reliable, especially for longer runs. I experienced noticeable signal degradation and intermittent connectivity, which is unacceptable for gaming and streaming. The pull box was another letdown. It snagged constantly, and the cable twisted and kinked more than it should. Stripping the insulation was also a hassle, too brittle and inconsistent, making termination a frustrating process. If you're wiring a professional setup or care about long-term stability, I’d recommend investing in a true copper cable. This might work for short, low-demand runs, but for serious networking, it’s not worth the compromise. ... show more

Great wire. First thing I did was open up speedtest's website and did a check. I pay for 100 down and was clocking at over 130 down. I used this to network my house, chose cat6 in an attempt to future proof. 1000ft was way too much, but I can network a buddy's house should the need arise. I estimate that to network two upstairs rooms, and 3 rooms downstairs i used 300ft of wire in a 2400 sq foot home. I now have all the house networked to a single closet, no daisy chains. the wires inside the cable are easy to work with. I created about two dozen jumper cables and longer cables so that every wired device in the house is using cat6. I had extra wire and buying 1ft jumpers is pricey, take advantage of this. My friends who put the heads on network cables professionally say that this is a tedious and frustrating job. This was a breeze with this wire. I got the crimp tool, which has a wire cutter, followed some simple instructions found on youTube and after two or so connectors I was flying through these things. As you can see in this picture I've created a bunch. final note to any DIY person like myself getting involved in this. There are two ways to organize the six wires inside the cable at the end points (wall plates or cables). Type A and Type B. From my research Type B is more common so this is what I went with. As long as you're consistent throughout the house I understand it does not make a difference. Every wall plate or box of cable ends that I have seen online or in the store has the diagram of how to do both. ... show more
