Description
Put the network cable into the stripping port of the cable crimping tool and rotate it two times to pull it out. Cut off the pvc jacket and aluminum foil so that the wires are prepared as follows. Trim the tips of the wires with a crimping tool to make tips neat and reserve appropriate length. Arrange the wire's color in the order and push the wires into the Cat6 connector to the deepest position. Note: Your wire's Outside Diameter(OD) including the plastic housing should not exceed 1.0mm to match the wire guide's OD. Put the wired crystal RJ45 end into the cable clamp for crimping. Align the chip position and press down.

Fantastic RJ45 Ends. I really enjoy these ones, and they are designed well. I've done a LOT of ethernet cable crimping. I use all kinds of wire, but my typical go-to is really just full copper Southwire Riser Cat6 cables (in-wall certified, essentially for production homes). So anyway, I've done it multiple ways in the past, where I separate my wires and slide them through a sled, clip the end of the sled, then pop the sled into an RJ45 end and it clicks in. I used to rely on that, but I guess once you get used to cutting the wires that just feels like an extra step now. But, I will say, some RJ45 ends just feel "tighter" and harder to line-up the cables right, like they are so tight that unless you are absolutely flawless, you are going to get one of the wires to bend and snag and even though it looks like they all went in, one of them didn't and you end up with a failed connection. Well, not these. These went in so smooth. These are, so far, the easiest single end connectors I've used sliding the wires into right before crimping it. I am a believer now in this brand. Honestly, I just enjoy making ethernet cables. I watch netflix and while my wife crochets, I'm crimping 10ft ethernet cables. I think I found my new go-to brand. I used to buy the Klein or Ideal brands from like Home Depot, as they are good as well, but I would spend 40 bucks on a 100 pack. I bought this because of the good price and I just wanted to see for myself, and holy crap, I feel like an idiot paying this price for so long when a great product like this exists at such a better price. Ideal was and still is a fantastic brand, but we are talking 1/3 the price here. Do yourself a favor, buy a small 50 pack or so at first, see if you like em. If you do, get the 100 pack. Once I burn through this 50 in no time I am definitely dropping for a 100 pack. I have not personally had the issue with them not "clicking" properly, as I have seen other reviewers state. We'll see... I have also used about 30 ends so far and have had only 1 failure on my tester., which honestly was probably my fault.

Most end users this may not apply to, but to the extreme user this may. I terminated mutltiple drops in a channel config (tip to tip connectors), and a few with tips on the station side and a quality patch panel on the distribution side. These were attached to commscope cat 6 plenum rated wire. Each of these drops (cables) were tested using a Fluke Networks Lvl III Cable Analyzer. Using the industry standard of near end cross talk (next) as a point of measurement for termination quality these tested quite well. The lowest I got was 11.8 db margin with most in the range of 17-18 db. These mod tips perform quite well. Should be noted a few had to be redone to achieve these numbers, but this is a installer issue. Stepped on a few and beat on a few to see if they would shatter or deform easily. These mod tips didn't even skip a heartbeat. Pros: Exceptional value for price. Test and perform exceptionally well. Resealable pack that can survive a tool bag. Gold plated conductors. Proper dimensions, no sloppy fit to jack. Cons: I call it snap plastic that everyone uses to make mod tips. This causes the clips to break off very easily. Note, I did NOT have any that did. But after crimping I had to pull the clip backwards to give it memory again. Each time worried the clip would snap off. Each cable was done with a strain boot to protect the termination. This is NOT per se a bad mark on the manufacturer, just a general market item. There are a few out there that use a significantly different plastic formula. But these are rare and hard to find. Note, I rate all mod tips that do not have enhanced clips the same, but again these are rare and hard to find. It is just a honest opinion. The "snap" plastic is the industry standard, and in no way should reflect this brand name or manufacturer.

Glad these are on the market. I hate the pass through ones, and these work great for thicker cat6a. I will say getting used to the staggered wiring was a bit tough, but it's needed to fit larger gauge ethernet. The teeth work for both stranded and solid core wire, so it works for repairing or making patch cables as well as structure cables. Not a huge fan of the packaging, they come in a flat tray, and i would prefer a jar or just a zip-lock bag.

First, I ordered this type by mistake(non-pass through). Second, they are pretty good comparatively. I have not had any failures at this point and have used about 25 of the 100 I ordered, Normally I have 2-3 out of 50 that are messed up inside the plastic and need to be discarded. So far so good. The one problem I have is that the connecting face has a small wall of plastic that needs to be cut away on about half of these. If you know to watch out for it, it is not a big deal(most brands have this in some small way). If I wanted non-pass through for some reason I would order these again. Decent quality at a decent price.

I saw some of the 1-star reviews about not snapping into place, etc, after I had already ordered these - so I terminated some cable and tried them out immediately upon arrival. Mine seem fine, I checked them against some premade terminations and they really don't seem to be different in any significant way. Interestingly, when I plug anything into one of several laptop ethernet ports, nothing snaps into place for any cable (these ends or any others that I have). I would say that port is worn or never worked all that well for retention, perhaps due to a lightweight laptop implementation or whatever wear-and-tear. Plugging them into a port that I know is perfectly fine (low use, relatively new equipment) results in a satisfying plastic "plunk" sound, and I am unable to pull it out without depressing the plastic latch. I have included video of my feeble one-handed insertion and removal of this cable end into said port. I tested with several other ports (consoles, desktops, test equipment), and while results varied in tactile feel and sound, it did snap securely into place and was unable to be removed without pressing the latch for every port I tried (excluding that single laptop port, which is surely just worn out, abused, or not even designed to latch). I finished the cable and put it to work in my home network with no issues at all. I believe I will keep these, they are inexpensive enough and will only be used for short, static runs. If you are unsure or require accurate-spec components it may be best to go with a brand more established in your industry. But for home-gamers, these seem okay.

I read reviews for this product before ordering about the wires not being committed inside of the connector. I thought it might just be an operator error and it seems that it might have been. Now I'm not discounting anyone's experience but I have been known to put at least 3 of these (different time, different brand, totally my fault) ends on while watching tv and all have been bad. I find the easiest and most effective way is to strip 2" of outer cable off, untwist each pair, clip the inner plastic core, and then straighten the waves left by the twist by gently pulling between your fingertips. Lay the wires out in your desired configuration while holding flat and bend the excess length up and down and side to side to leave the wires in a state ready to go into the end. I like to leave about 1 1/4" from the jacket and use cutters to leave a clean cut across. If done correctly the wires should go right in. Push in as far as you can go and if the jacket isn't at a point to be secured clip a little more length off, reinsert and then crimp. The number one problem I've seen in making these connections is not leaving enough lead length which leads to the jacket stopping the wires from going all the way into the connector to be seated. Number two is low-quality crimpers. I hope this helps someone. As for me, I'll be buying a ton more of these. Stay safe and be kind.

Functional, but harder to use than most. I had issues pushing the wires into the connector because of the poor wire guide design. If any two wires are too close together, the connector won’t slide on. Will not buy this brand again.
