I really like these modular patch panels. Much easier to deal with than the other style for install and maintenance. Just make sure that you get jacks that are narrow enough not to crowd out the other jacks as the port spacing is tight.

The old-style punch-down patch panels were a nightmare to install and a worse nightmare to fix or change. Having a simple keystone jack, per cable, makes installation as well as repairs or adding new connections a snap, pardon the pun. Color coding your connections, interspersing CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6, CAT7, Phone, etc., is simple. I will never go back to direct punch-down. This TRENDnet Patch-Panel is well made, it is not flimsy. I have used Keystone Jacks from Leviton and Cable Matters, as well as older no-name RJ14 Jacks. Note that older AMP Keystone Jacks can be a pain to extract. These patch panels are also great for female-female Keystone Jacks as well. ... show more

Fits all the cat6 jacks I had on hand including cable matters 90 degree slim, mono price 90 degree as well as the mono price inline couplers Does not come with rack screws but I assume this is not an issue for most as you will want the same screws across your racks Seems sturdy enough for what it is. No cable support but for the price itโ€™s one of the best out there. Will update review after instal if I notice anything noteworthy ... show more
