This is the biggest piece of crap that I have ever purchased. I was shoe-horned into a super-limited selection, as I have cabinet-front appliances that match my kitchen cabinets. It was more than I wanted to spend and I am so sorry that I purchased it. ZLine touts itself as the "entry level" for high-end appliances. They missed the mark. I describe this unit's interior quality and function as an "easy-bake oven dishwasher" due to its' cheap plastic, non-functional interior. The layout of the interior had to be done by someone who doesn't do dishes at home. Nothing fits. The bottom slide out never goes in and out without falling off intended path.     • Not getting dishes clean
We ordered a Z-Line custom panel because the Bosch brand we had used in our last house was out of stock. The custom panel front we not compatible with our Ikea cabinetry—my husband had to mess with it and rig it together in an entirely different way, and we found nowhere where it said Zline is only compatible with Zline panels (which seemed to be the case). But a worse problem is I've found I have to really pre-rinse dishes hardcore before loading, and I usually have to hand wash at least 5-7 dishes after each wash. I don't find the eco or the economy wash effective; on the heavy duty pots and pans setting, I have had better luck, but hated to waste the water for that just bowls and plates. I don't like the way the racks are laid out either, so I have not been very happy with this product. ... show more

My dishwasher was purchased 18 months ago and was purchased 18 months ago, it wasn’t installed for a while as my kitchen was finished, and it’s been broken for 3 months now. So, in total, I think may have only been able to use it for 8ish months. It has an error code e1 which is related to water supply. I have confirmed that it does indeed have water supply going to it with sufficient pressure. And upon researching the issue, it happens to almost every dishwasher from Z-line within a year or two of use. It’s to do with a low quality water inlet valve that controls when water is allowed in, and the valve is on the bottom of the dishwasher. I have called numerous appliance repair shops and they all refuse to work on it because they tel me z line appliances have so many issues. So I can’t get it repaired and z line refuses to warranty the problem. So, I’m going to end up having to buy another dishwasher after only getting less than a year from this one. Also, when emailing back and forth with customer service, I was having to wait days for a response each time and the company’s phone number doesn’t lead to a conversation with an agent. This dishwasher is very quiet, easy to operate. The only reason I gave this dishwasher a 3 star is because as you can read the door panel doesn't come with the dishwasher. The rating is because the door panel costs $299.00 but if you don't do your research on it then surprise surprise! If I could do it all over I would not have made this purchase. The door panel is heavy and doesn't allow for easy lifting to close even after adjusting. ... show more

I’ve been struggling with numerous technical issues, replaced several dishwashers, and still haven’t received one that works properly. It’s been a complete disappointment. I honestly can’t understand how a company producing such low-quality products can remain on the market.

    • Do not buy. Doesn’t dry or clean
Replaced my perfectly working dishwasher with this one bc liked the panel ready option. Have had it three weeks and it has never worked. Doesn’t dry, doesn’t clean well and the top rack doesn’t open. Customer service is terrible. They keep asking for video as and pictures and have not helped fix anything. Want my old dishwasher back. Buyer beware! Choose another brand. ... show more

A few random comments: The door is very heavy and sticks out from under the counter. The silverware rack assumes you have small handles. The rack layout is the worst feature. You are supposed to have lots of very thin plates and saucers. There is no provision for coffee mugs, desert dishes, soup bowls, or small pans. The inside is always wet. Our old Kenmore did a better job washing. The five wash cycles are a joke. There might as well be one big button that says “wash”. ... show more
