Description

I completely misunderstood (for lack of a better word) the fact that it was really tiny. (That was completely my fault of course) I.e it fits in the palm of your hand. Obviously this thing does burn through the fuel like water. On the bright side( no pun intended) it’s good to have as a small “survival” lighter if you will. I’d recommend it, although as I’ve found out you can not light candles with unless the candle itself is not in a tall and hard to reach container. ... show more

Even though I'm not really a smoker, but it was really nice to have this on hand in case a friend or nice lady needed a light. Kind of a pain to refill though, I'll admit. This lighter looks awesome, works well, and serves it's purpose. But i'm not sure if it's a zippo thing, or just because this one is smaller than the other zippo lighters, but the fuel seems to evaporate or run out really quickly. I need to refill it really often. Almost to the point of it being useless unless I just filled it. It's definitely the sexiest lighter I've seen, but I think if you want something that you can use regularly, I would recommend just getting a cheap butane lighter from a gas station. If you want to use a sleek lighter when going out, fill this guy up and bring it with you. Overall 4 stars, because I did buy it for the looks, but it's not very practical, and uses old technology. Face it, we all like Zippos. Either to use lighting cigarettes or to anything else that needs fire added to the mix. This one is no different. It works well, is mildly wind resistant, and can take a big bang or drop without any worries. Add into the mix the fact it fits into any pocket without getting in the way and STILL looks badass taking it out to use: you have a winner. It is my new go to zippo. So right off the bat something that should be noted is this lighter works fine But it did not meet my personal expectations. When I read "slim" I imagined a normal zippo just a little skinnier/discrete but in actuality it is quite small around the size of a half dollar I would and say It doesn't make a very large flame compared to my normal zippo (around a quarter of the size of the flame of a normal zippo) but it is enough to light a candle or generally whatever you need for the most part. Overall I would say this: it's a nice lighter, good for small pockets, looks cool and works as a lighter should but it is not what I personally imagined "slim" being and the flame is sorta disappointing for what I was expecting. ... show more

I bought four lighters, one of them stayed with me... the black one, the others were gifts. I have been using it for over two years and tha black paint hasnt faded. The black matte is just like when it arrived, it only has one chip for due to falling form 6 feet hight direct into a concrete floor. Zippos never fail, mine hasnt. Since this is the smaller version i would suggest getting the zippos flask so you can always have some extra lighter fluid with you. Everything works fine, the hinge is rock solid and isnt wobbling. Just get one, any zippo will make any cotumer very happy ... show more

you notice i didn't scream this in all capitals but here's the thing... apparently ZIPPO now manufactures JUNK. seriously it would be hard, if not impossible, to find someone who didn't think this thing was just one step above a childs toy. now i'm not suggesting this IS a toy, i'm just saying more quality control goes into a childs toy than this thing ever saw. i have a ZIPPO from 1994 that was and is solidly built. this on the other hand has a very weak hinge, a misaligned lid and the lighter itself, the innards, now resembles a cheap knock off and not ZIPPO solid. my fault for giving in to an impulse purchase. do yourself a favor, i cannot stress this enough, and do not buy this lighter. get an old one at a flea market or something. whoever you leave it to will thank you. ps... i don't expect a thank you from whomever i regift this to. ... show more
