Wow, these are terrific. I smoke cigars, and we do adventure motorcycling - so I bought these as compact lighters that are water resistant. I haven't tested the water resistance, but I think for the price, you have to cut some slack - although I'll say, they appear VERY solid and will resist water nicely. Everything about the construction and quality is really good- AND, I was very pleased the USB lighter works great for cigars. The 'window' where the electric current runs is quite small (seems designed for a cigarette) but I've had no issues at all lighting up my stogies, really great design. The butane came empty, but local cigar shop sold me a canister and super easy to fill! The butane flame is powerful and just really really pleased with both of these, I'll carry both and butane will be backup if USB runs out of power/fails.

I purchased this 2-pack of lighters for an upcoming camping trip. I am a non-smoker. The butane lighter is fairly standard. It has a protective shell that keeps water out (i.e., from rain or being dropped into shallow water). Filling with butane was easy enough and required removing the actual lighter mechanism from the protective case. I used basic Zippo fuel. No issues with the lighter. It worked multiple times with no issues. Flame was effective for lighting candles, a lantern, and tinder for a small wood stove. The electronic lighter was interesting. This was my first time ever using one so had a learning curve. Charging requires an old style USB plug. This went pretty quickly from a wall wart power adapter. I would have preferred a USB-C plug but not a big deal. There's a tiny button to start the lighter. When I say tiny I mean that as with gloves it would be cumbersome. The "flame" is a continuous x-shaped spark between the eletrodes. I suppose for a cigar it would work well but it was clumsy to use to light tinder or the lantern. Lighting the stove was frustrating. Candles were easy enough. Again, the intended use is for cigars/cigarettes so I can't really fault it for that. I do like the fact that I can charge it from my solar charger, were I get caught in the woods on the way home from work and had to survive with my wits and a lighter. All said, I'm satisfied with the purchase and would buy again.

I bought these for my husband for his birthday. Charging is easy. Battery life seems to last a long time. The design is pretty sweet. It is very durable and having dropped it a few times already, it had held up well. I found the butane to fill the one at Walmart, so we can take it camping. Was a nice gift for a nice price.

There isn't a lot you can say about lighters... either they light or they don't. The butane one ships empty which makes sense... so if you are expecting it to work right out of the box, it won't. I'm dropping two stars off because of the stupid charger/cable on the plasma one. Why in 2025 are things not using USB-C? I mean I don't want to have to carry around multiple cables everywhere and if I lose this one, then I am out of luck. This uses some weird USB to something that looks like a 3.5mm headphone type plug. You are not going to have one of those in your junk drawer of cables... this isn't a standard cable at all. I get size port size would be important in the industrial design process, but come on, type-c would have been much more preferable. I would give up 20 - 30 uses per charge to have a standard type-c port to charge.

The gas lighter works fairly well, although you have to keep it in your pocket, or otherwise keep it warm, or it won't light, even with expensive pure lighter butane. When it works the flame is good, has adjustable height with the refill valve screw. The waterproof case sort of baffles me - water doesn't seem to affect it, and the case is quite bulky in one's pocket. A simple cap would have sufficed, I think. The plasma lighter functions well in terms of generating the arcs, but there is a limited amount of things you can actually ignite with it, given that you have to insert said things into the arcs. Again, the waterproof cases are pretty bulky. They seem like they'd work well for carrying matches and keeping them dry.
