I took a chance on the reviews I read and purchased the Pink and Blue set. I was concerned that it might be one of those items that when you lay it down it would just roll away and never come back. Having a slight protruding striker button prevents it from escaping. This torch has a real solid feel to it. If you shake it hard it doesn’t make any rattling noises like most lighters and torches do. I don’t recommend going around and shaking the hell out of it. I use it for one thing only and it gets “fired-up” many times a day, so to speak. So far it has lit every single time without fail. I really like the flame height adjuster. Normally the adjuster valve is a flush slotted screw that is always difficult to adjust. This difficult adjustment was eliminated by the designers who had a small handle that is flat on the bottom but it swings outward to facilitate the adjustment of the flame. A nice touch, design team. The one and only possible complaint or little gripe I have is a trivial one but a gripe, nonetheless. I even have a suggestion for the design team to fix it. The fuel tank window is small as expected but it is recessed slightly into the surrounding incasement of the cylinder which happens to be black. So with tiny viewing window and black “shutters” it makes for seeing the fuel level extremely difficult even in adequate light. So my design change recommendation is to place a tiny pinhole on the opposite side of the window. By doing this it would allow the person looking into the gauge an optical bearing and a micro light port which would allow enough light to see the fuel level. It is an incredibly simple fix to a dark area and like I said, this is really not a problem just a tiny thing that would make this torch go from a 98% to 100%, in my opinion. I hope that this torch continues working the way it has, so far, for a long time to come. I highly recommend this torch set. The price is right and the time is NOW, so quit reading the reviews and put it in your car now!!! You won’t be disappointed.

My husband purchased this as a surprise for me and my brother. We both instantly fell in love with them. The slender shape and easy, smooth strike button are amazing and great comfort for my arthritic hands. I use the torches for smoking and also pyrography (wood burning art). The flame adjustment has more range than many torches. When turning the flame up high, it stays narrow and doesn't sputters. When lowering the flame it stays a torch flame instead of turning into a regular flame. My brother dropped his outside in the rain one night. We found it the next morning and let it dry out. It still works perfectly! The day it was delivered, I had 5 different people offering to buy it from me. I am having a problem with the rubber seal around the refill nozzle that started a few days ago. Fuel leaks out hissing. I was able to make it stop by wiggling the butane can slightly while filling, but today it started leaking to the point when I refilled it, 15 mins later all the fuel leaked out completely. I'm not too concerned because of the awesome warranty and great customer service they have.. I had to Contact customer service previously for help registering the torches after deliver. So I have faith there will be no hassle having the malfunction repaired or replaced. I will give an update when it's taken care of and maybe another up date in 6 months to evaluate how it holds up with heavy use.

I bought a pink and blue pair under a year ago and they were perfect and I was so thrilled with them! They worked like a dream, came in a nice gift-able black box, warranty (they still do), love the colors, they always lit first time and didn't spew back butane when filling. Never had issues with them but eventually one stopped self igniting but it still lasted a long time! These have to be made by a different manufacturer now because these do not compare with the older 2 I have whatsoever! I find myself having to flick it a few times a decent amount of time to get it to work, especially on a lower flame which never used to happen. And these also have a slightly wider butane intake so these do spew tane everytime I fill them no matter how I position the bottle, how much I put in, if I do it in small little spurts...which is super annoying and wasteful! I'm really sad to have to not leave a 5 star review because the older 2 I have are def 5 star worthy. And these are now nothing really special like they used to be and maybe worth 3 stars if I'm being generous. I'm so sad they went downhill in quality. They are still roughly about the same price maybe a buck or 2 cheaper but I'm not sure. They still work fine of course but I never had these sort of issues with my previous ones:(

I have ordered these torches a few times... I highly recommend getting you some... Mine would last forever if I didn't leave them lit for extended periods of time... They will withstand a lot of heat but anything over a minute you might need a new lighter...JS
