Easy assembly takes about 20-30 min if you are handy with tools. Surprisingly made really well, and the geometry was perfect 👌 everything fitted just right. Packaging was really well protected and instructions easy to understand.

UDPATE: Have had for almost 2 years now - absolutely no problems! Frame has been able to "withstand" everything ;) Able to store many boxes underneath (tvs, picture frames, monitors, etc) with no problem. Only hiccup with a low-rise mattress is if you have a robotic vacuum and oversized top sheets - you'll need to pickup the corners of the comforter/sheets from the floor so the Roomba doesn't get stuck (not the fault of the product whatsoever, just some helpful advice!). So far so good! Great little bed frame. Allows our little 10 lb pomeranian to jump on and off the bed as she pleases throughout the night, and it eliminates our worry of her falling off the bed all together. This specific frame also allows our Roomba under our bed while also being a low platform bed frame. Assembly took 30-45 minutes, less than an hour with unpacking and cleaning up packaging included. Easy to assemble, all parts are labelled and have step numbers on them. Using a 12" pillow top mattress + 2 150-175 people sleep on it with no issues with breaking, may update later with update if mattress starts to sag or bedframe doesn't hold up our weight. ... show more

    • SQUEAKS ...after a few weeks limited, moderate squeaks began......

After 1 month this frame makes a squeaking sound (more like a creaking sound) when getting in and out of bed. The squeaks aren't loud, although any type of exercise on the bed will also cause squeaks, non-stops squeaks, but so far there are no squeaks during sleep or moderate movements. I don't understand why there's squeaking since this bed has never been under more than 210 lbs. of weight at any time--this is not even half of this bed frame's maximum capacity. Also the bed has never been jumped on or abused and I assembled it correctly (correctly aligning the matching parts and tightening the screw-in bolts completely--assembly is simple as can be). I decided to keep the bed and try to repair the squeaks. I'll try that soon, first by resetting the bolts using Loctite Thread Locker on them. I also might use candle wax to coat the approximate 2 inch surface area in each of the 4 corners where the frame bolts together and at which point there is about a 2 inch metal overlap of the interlocking frame pieces. Rubber washers might help too in preventing each bolt's head from squeaking. I'm also prepared, if need be, to replace the bolts with self-tapping screw-in bolts for an even tighter fit. The last resort, of course, would be to do away with the bolts altogether and have the frame welded into one piece. Eventually I believe I'll get a perfectly quiet bed, which is what my old wood-framed box spring bed provided when it was elevated by recessed (hidden) concrete blocks instead of using a conventional bed frame (I also always attach my bed head board to the wall to prevent it from squeaking, which headboards are notorious for). I've just found out with this steel bed frame that I really like a platform bed without a box spring. It gives much firmer support. So I'm going to try to make it work, but obviously I can't recommend this frame because I hate squeaks, even moderate squeaks like this frame has. ... show more

Great bed for the price. The frame is sturdy, lightweight (for its size), and has a clean look to it. Overall, I’m really pleased. The Velcro tape was a surprise—I somehow missed it in the product description—and does a great job holding the wooden slats in place. There is also sticky tape lining two of the wooden slats to help keep your mattress in place. Unpacking and assembly by one person took 30 about minutes from start to finish. Instructions were fairly easy to follow and the parts were clearly labeled and well-packaged (see image). The only negative is that the fabrication was a bit off. For example, the support posts under the center beam were about 1/3” off the floor once the frame was assembled, causing the center beam to bow ever so slightly once weight was set onto the frame. The side beams and header/footer also didn’t align well on all four corners (see image), which put additional tension on the bolts. One bolt fit so poorly I nearly stripped it with the allen wrench just trying to get it in. Certainly there are better beds out there. But not at this price. ... show more
