At this point they need to just put these under all beds. It needs to be the gold standard. I purchased one of these 6 years ago for a guest room bed that didn’t come with any sort of support and set up was a breeze. Recently however, the slats in my main bedroom finally gave out. I can’t say I’m surprised but I was quite disappointed to end up on the floor. Seeing that the headboard and frame were still in great condition I opted to getting one of these. Set up took about 2 hrs but this was while multitasking. Once jot was complete and I put the mattress on top…. Wow! I was very impressed. The squeaking noises disappeared. I had one of these for a twin mattress and it was great, solid and required very little assembly. This one also seems very solid but required a lot of assembly. I am a senior and not especially handy. It took just over an hour. It comes with instructions that are of little help. The online tutorial is also not much help. However you can figure it out pretty easily. The instructions label the parts with the letters of the alphabet. But the parts themselves have no labels on them to connect that with. Note that the two long side pieces can be distinguished from the long center bar because the latter has a thicker leg. I found it better to assemble it upside down until it was time to put in the horizontal slats. I gave these a light tap or two with a hammer to make sure they were firmly in place. There are two longer screws with no instructions of where they go. They go at either end of the long center bar. When everything is assembled, re-check that everything is tight, especially the wing nuts with the little arms that swing down and hook into them . The upside to all this assembly is you can disassemble it to a fairly small package should you need to move your home. I took off one star because it came in an inner box with an outer box that was twice the size of the inner box. There was nothing to stop the inner box sliding around inside the outer box. The first package never reached me because it was damaged in transit. This one arrived with a severely damaged outer box, with the inner box hanging out. I was surprised this one was not damaged. Let’s have someone with a bit of sense packaging these in the future. ... show more

We bought these for our basement for over flow guest at Christmas. Quality seems very nice and really easy to put together. My son said they sleep nice and there is non squeaking. The height is nice for storing 8-10 totes underneath. Easy to move around is needed.

I searched for hours for an inexpensive, sturdy and easy to assemble platform bed frame to create a sofa look with an extra long twin set up, that could double as an actual bed in my home office. There were many out there, but most of them included in the reviews that the legs were at the corners and were very sharp, causing multiple toe and shin injuries to the owners. After much searching, I found this one. It didn't have that many reviews, but the reviews it had included photos and were good, and the photos showed that the legs were not at the corners, so I took a risk and ordered. It came in less than 48 hours, and as it was reviewed, it was very easy to put together. The instructions were actually helpful, and it came with not only an allen wrench, but also an actual ratchet tool that was super helpful. I am a 50+ year old woman, and I carried this upstairs in the packaging, unboxed it and put it together in about 40 minutes, by myself. Once together, I put a bed skirt with a 14" drop to cover up the sort of "cheap industrial" look of the frame. As shown in the photos, the legs are in a bit from the corners, so the chance of bumping into them in minimal. In fact, no injuries were caused in the assembly of this bed, or in putting the 12" memory foam mattress on the frame or in making the bed. I just put it together and assembled all of the pieces and parts last night, and this is an extra bed, so no one is sleeping on it regularly, but I LOVE the finished product! I don't think I would recommend this bed frame for an adult sleeping on it daily, but it could be ok for a child sleeping on it daily, especially if you want to wait to get a nice bedframe, and it is a transition bed. It would also be good for a college student..even though they might be sleeping on it daily, it would probably not be for longer than a year or two. Anyway, I will update the review if the frame breaks or something, but for right now, I am extremely happy with the purchase. The price was amazing, it was super easy to assemble, and seems to be quite sturdy. ... show more
