So, I was hesitant about buying a foam mattress for so little online. I spent many many minutes reading through the reviews and pictures, memorized the tips and went ahead with my purchase after spending two days going into stores and being horrified by the high price tags for similar products. I ordered this Friday night, and it got here Sunday mid day. The product came in pristine condition and was actually fairly easy to cart upstairs and get it out of its casing. We laid it out on our box spring and kinda of kneaded it with our knees and then ripped the packaging. Ours had zero smell to it so that was a plus. It began to puff up and within a few minutes it was at 8 inches (we purchased the 10 in). After a few hours it has risen to 9 inches. It seems very well made. It IS about an inch or so longer than our box spring but I honestly see this as a bonus and not a negative. Some of the corners were looking kinda scrunched, but that was our fault because we had it too close to the headboard and it didn't have room to expand. We moved it and they straightened right out. I tried to flop down on it, but it's a bit denser than you think so you kinda just stop, but then it begins to meld to your body and this is pure bliss. It is somehow firm and super soft at the same time. Just the few mins I was on it I began drifting off. Seriously the most comfortable mattress I've ever had. And the cover- softest, most luxurious thing I've ever felt. I can see myself sleeping on this with no pillow because it cradled my neck that well. I also have back problems with a lower spine that curves into my body that makes sleeping on my back intolerable- that achiness went away as soon as I got on this wonderful magic glorious mattress. I haven't even spent a whole night on it and I'm already this excited. I'll do updates after a nights sleep etc etc... but join the rest of us who are so in love with this thing and buy it and spend the rest of your money on something else. Attached photo is five mins after opening package. Update 1: it's now been one week of sleeping on this bed. I still love it so much. I want to add recommendations that you need stretchy sheets if you like to feel that your sinking into the bed, normal sheets definetly hold up and make the bed feel more firm than just laying on it with its cover. Also, if you've been a multiple pillow under the head sleeper, you don't need it. I slept with my usual amount of pillows the first few nights and I had some neck & shoulder soreness. I went down to one thin pillow and poof! Perfect sleep. As soon as I lay down, I'm heading off to zzz land which is great because I've previously had a lot of insomnia. No tossing and turning, just blissful sleep. Update 2: I've now had this bed almost a year and it hasn't flattened out at all. Still is the same mix of firm and squishy. Still would buy again.

I've bought three of these over the past several years. First two I couldn't take with me when I moved. They've all been of consistent quality on arrival, each one lasted multiple years and hadn't shown any kind of deterioration while I had it, and I really just love the bed. I've tried plenty of others, what with the moving, but even when I have the money for the really expensive ones, I just like this one better. The price point cements it as a no-brainer. Usually memory foam has a lot of drawbacks for me. It's floppy and heavy and a pain to move around. I always overheat on it, and I've never met a foam firm enough to be truly supportive (I'm no waif) without springs of some kind, unless it was thin enough that the bed platform became the support. Which feels a lot like when a cheap air mattress leaks slowly through the night and you wake up mostly on the floor. But THIS one. This one is supportive enough, and I get the pressure-reducing body-contouring effect without ever getting submerged in the thing (I dislike "sleeping on clouds," it feels restrictive). It did develop a divot on my side of the bed once, when I was sick as a dog and basically didn't move for three day, but it sprang right back up after I went back to work. My job is physical, but this has alleviated a LOT of the back and shoulder pain. Also, the cooling gel works great! I sleep ridiculously hot. It's especially bad on memory foam. I've been disappointed in enough "cooling" sheets and clothing materials (yes, I tried even a couple blatant gimmicks over the years) to just disregard it in product descriptions. Imagine my surprise when that first summer hit and I lost way less sleep to overheating than usual. Oh, inflation. I haven't had a problem with any of these three. The mattress comes with instructions. #1 and #3 blew right up within 2 days. The second one had a stubborn corner even after 4 days, but there's youtube videos out there that really get into The Process. I followed those religiously, and it worked itself out. TLDR: 10/10, no notes. It's still floppy and heavy, I guess? It is foam. Maybe I'll sew handles onto the cover.

I bought this mattress 9 months ago and held off to review until I got to use it for a while. At first, I wanted to give it 4 stars, but over time I’ve decided I like it a lot more and for the price and quality, it deserves 5 stars. The mattress comes rolled up and vacuum packed in a thick white tarp-like material and expands quickly. I planned on letting it expand with the windows open for at least a day before sleeping on it to make sure it fully expanded and any gasses/smells from manufacturing dissipated. But there was no awful smell and in about 4 hours, it seemed to be ready. I still left it to fully unroll/flatten tire a day to see if it’ll get taller. I don’t know if it fully reached the 10 in height, but I’m satisfied with it so I’m not concerned. I was replacing a thicker mattress and I wanted one that wasn’t as tall/thick so it hitting btwn 9 in and 10 in. is fine. The dimensions of the mattress is a little larger than standard queen, and it would have trouble fitting into a bed frame with raised/boxed in sides. I have a metal platform support with open sides so it works even if it’s a little wider/longer. I wish it was about an inch narrower so I have more options for bedframes but it works for me for the time being. The mattresses is firm, and I like that it’s firm because I bought it for better support for my strangely achey joints and back. I feel very supported and my hip joint pain is helped by it. I barely make an indent, but it’s still soft enough/way more comfortable than sleeping on a mat on the floor. I can sleep on my side without my hips or shoulders being in pain from the firmness/hardness. For reference I am approx. 108 lbs (+/- 2lbs) and 5’2”, so a person who is significantly taller/heavier might find this mattress to be more medium firmness than the firm support I feel.

My wife and I recently bought this bed and have only slept on it for a few nights so far, but I intend this to be a "rolling" review where I update as time passes. (6/19/17) The unpacking: The bed came in a decent sized box that I was able to carry into the apartment with no problem. It was packaged well with many layers of protection for the mattress. I unpacked the mattress and laid it out on our bed frame, which it fit perfectly. I did this around noon time and the bed was fully expanded at a uniform 10" by bed time that night. I observed absolutely no odor upon unpacking. (6/23/17) The first few nights sleep: I was pleasantly surprised with the quality considering the price. I didn't really know what to expect, but I was cautiously optimistic. As everyone says, the bed is soft and firm. To a layman like me, it appears that you sink in until the bottom portion of "memory foam", which is where all the support really comes from. My wife and I have both been pretty happy with our sleep so far and both have noted longer stretches of sleep and less readjusting throughout the night. For now, I am leaving the rating at 4/5. (7/7/17) An update after a few weeks of sleep. Its holding up well, still comfortable, and is agreeing with both my wife and I and neither of us wake up with back pain any more. No buyer's remorse so far. Very happy with this purchase and have upgraded to 5/5 stars for now. (8/7/17) Love it. I actually think the bed is getting more comfortable as its being "broken in" a little bit. Sleeping better than ever. Never wake up with aches and the bed is holding up after months of use. Both still happy! 6/2018 We ended up buying a new bed after a year. After about 6 months the quality declined. Keeping at at 4 stars. There will be no further update. We are keeping it as a guest bed and have received compliments. For the price, i would call this a quality temporary solution. Certainly not a great long term option.

Every single complaint I read about this mattress was false. I bought 2 of these. I am probably buying a third in a month if these truly stay the same. I was almost about to buy a 1500 dollar bed in a box. Then I asked some people I knew. They said I got this 200 dollar bed in a box for a guest room "I like it better than my expensive mattress" So I gave it a go. I can say 1. I have never slept in a better mattress. I stay in hotels a lot with expensive mattresses. This one is better than that. The best I ever slept in prior to this was in the Bellagio honeymoon suite in Vegas. I came back home and learned that mattress was going to set me back 3000 dollars. So I didnt do it. That mattress was so firm yet supportive. It felt great. This Zinus is better than that mattress. You have to feel it to experience it. It is firm.. yet when you sleep on it. It molds to you. Not in a way that a super soft mattress does but it cradles you perfectly. You get up. It pops right back waiting for the next time. Absolutely amazing. 2. There is zero smell. Nope sorry.. I dont know what they are talking about. I bought two. There was a very slight sweet smell but it lasted maybe 30 minutes and was gone. The smell was pleasant too. Both beds. I smelled nothing of any significance. 3. I brough mine to the room and opened it immediately. It measured the full 10 inches in 3 hours. It hasnt changed. 100% amazing. i I have to replace this mattress every 4 months it is worth it. 50 dollars a month for that level of comfornt. I love this bed it is ridiclous. I have one week of Garmin sleep numbers. Ive never had so much REM and deep sleep. Buy it!

After reading the reviews, I was very nervous ours wasn't going to expand all the way to 10'' & that we could possibly be faced with the risk of possibly having bed bugs or fiberglass laced throughout our bed (hence the many 1-2 star reviews towards the end were very bad in comparison to many of the reviews I've read on amazon for 4.5 star products) but so far, everything is just as we'd hoped (we had no security of a warranty as we chose to forgo it, but I would definitely recommend as long as it's still available). Mattress expanded to the full 10'', wrinkles were mostly out within the second day after some light tugging, fluffing and after a good night's rest. There was a very minor dirt stain on our mattress but it wiped off fairly easily with some light spot cleaning (I don't expect this mattress will need some added help with a cover though). The mattress is soft, yet not too soft, with just the right firmness to please both my wife and I. It feels cool to the touch but doesn't remain cool as you lay on it though it definitely isn't at all hot either (just average). It feels well-cushioned & springs slowly back into shape when pressed. The only one con we have is that the corners still are a bit compressed but I've seen in some reviews that can be remedied a bit by temporarily taking off the cover and unfurling/straightening the corners yourself. The best part is we wake up with zero neck and back pain and sleep all the way through the night with no problems at all during the night, even as integrating back, side & stomach sleepers. All in all we really like it and think it well worth the price! (Just be aware of the more critical reviews as a safe measure before taking the plunge!) :)

Purchased: 10 inch, gel infused, green tea memory foam mattress. I normally don’t write reviews, but I felt like this mattress definitely deserves it. My boyfriend and I have been sleeping on this bed for about a month now and I will say I have more pros than cons. Like every other amazon shopper I was skeptical about purchasing the mattress. I read all the great reviews and even the horrible ones. It took me a while to decide if cheaper was the better option especially when I didn’t want to buy another in the near future. With that being said I don’t regret this purchase. Before the boyfriend and I moved in together we were sleeping on horrible mattresses and we would wake up with constant back pain that would last all day. Now we wake up and he has little to no pain and same goes for me(we would both see a chiropractor and we don’t have to anymore), the bed was kept in its box for a week and a day (I saw Zinus commented on one of the questions and they stated it could be left in the box for no longer than a week) and it did fully expand, but we did for it a full 24 hours, we don’t feel each other move AT ALL, and it didn’t have any crazy smell. The ONLY con about this mattress is that due to its tendency to cradle your body there are baby groves of where we sleep. Mind you we are NOT skinny people. We are a combined total of 520 lbs on this mattress. I am roughly 210 and he is 310. If you’re worried about height and if your feet will dangle off I am 5’9” and my boyfriend is 6’3” and we are perfectly fine. If your concerned about ‘private time’ (I won’t go into detail), but don’t be worried. You’ll be fine. I would give this mattress a 4.5, but amazon doesn’t do half stars. Overall I’m super happy with this mattress. I hope this review helps you make your decision.

This mattress was really comfortable and helped relieve my back pain. However, after about five years, it got to be too soft and didn't give the same support. I flipped it over (it's not a flippable mattress) and got some short-term relief, but it's not meant to be used that way and is becoming too soft again. The 10-year warranty covers "faulty materials," but that's not really the problem. While I'm sure it won't actually break apart before 10 years is up, at least in my case, it will be comfortable for only about half that time.
